Have the bots come for us once more?

Just felt like posting a thread about it cause I'm bored. There's been a weird uptick in bot spam lately. Feels like the old Escapist forums all over again.
Slightly more click-bait title: ARE THE BOTS THE END OF US ALL?! NEW FORUM DOOMED.

Makes you wonder why the sudden rise in bots... Did someone turn off an anti-bot protection or something? Or have they really come for us all?

Some more aggressive bots that had more that one entire page worth of threads of spam, but not that unusual.

OTOH, in general, AI (or Abominable Intelligence) is proving to be even more annoying than many sci-fi authors warned us about, and should be destroyed in the name of the Omnissiah.

It's getting there, but not even close to the same ballpark. So far Jojo seems to managing it by himself pretty well. Back in the day a team of like 5 or 6 mods were so completely overwhelmed that we just had to abandon certain subforums completely. Like, Gaming Discussion was just spam as far as you could scroll back, like for 40 pages.
