Played it, next day went down and put $50 on a pre-order.

If you're wondering whether to download it, just do it. That's what demos are for.

I played the demo a few days ago. It wasn't bad, but it was definitely... weird. I'll rent it because thrillers intrigue me and because it's different from what I've been playing in recent years, but my guess is that once you've beaten the game and the undoubtably present twist ending is revealed, Heavy Rain will have little to no replay value.

I liked it. The prostitute's voice acting was dodgy at first, but it got a little better, and Norman Jayden is located deep in the heart of the uncanny valley, but it wasn't enough to make me cancel my preorder. I just hope that more of the scenes are like Shelby's, and less like Jayden's. I just quite simply found Jayden's to be a little dull. Glasses on, glasses off, glasses on, glasses off.

I loved it. The controls took a little while getting used to (I got my ass kicked in the fight), but once I'd got the hang of it, it was fantastic.

Oh, I wouldn't be so sure. Doesn't the story change with every single little action? If you do things differently a second time round, I'm sure it will be nothing like the first.

Yeah was pretty sweet. May go for a pre order. Just hope that it doesn't end up like Fahrenheit with all the mystical bullshit.

I played it on my friend's PS3. I hate quick-time events as much as the next guy, but building a whole game out of it removes all of the reasons I hate them. The graphics are great, and the gameplay is original. If the plot turns out to be good as well, I will be pleasantly surprised.

If only I had a PS3, I would definitely buy it.

I quite liked it. Spent a few minutes walking around like I'd just taken 8kg of cocaine, but once I got a handle of the controls, the rest of the demo was quite fun. The fight with Shelby was very well choreographed and I didn't mind the slower scene with Jayden. Although, and I say this knowing the game starts of very slow, had Jaydens stretched on much longer it might have started to test my patience a little bit.

I don't think there ever was a 360 version in the making.

Hurm. Could be... I'll look into that. Still, I'll rent it first; disappointments in the past have made me wary about products I'm not entirely familiar with. Should my presumptions turn out to be unfounded and I really like the game as a whole I'll gladly shell out my money for it.

Doing certain actions will have an impact on the progression of the game. For instance in the demo where you're questioning the girl, you don't have enough time to ask everything. I wonder what would happen in the full game if I asked different questions or acted more quickly?

The game even allows for any or all of the four characters you play as to die, and still continue.

Sure there's probably one set way to play it through and get the best ending, but I'm going to enjoy exploring other possibilities as well.

I was interested in this game when I first heard about it about 18 months ago, and the demo has sealed it. No doubt a day one purchase for me.
