If it's a good example of the subgenre, I'll listen to it. For example, I listen to everything from Decapitated to DevilDriver to Dio. However, something like Cannibal Corpse doesn't appeal to me, although I like music as heavy or heavier, because Cannibal Corpse isn't that good. >_>
To take a possibly more mainstream example, KoRn is a pretty good example of Nu-Metal. If Nu-metal is your sort of thing, then KoRn is likely to tickle your fancy. However...
