Here's What Super Smash Bros. Would Look Like With Disney Characters

This gallery highlights just how similar some of Nintendo and Disney's designs are.

I know some of you are feeling a bit fatigued by all of those "Disney Princesses as X" galleries, so for something a little different, today here's a gallery of Disney characters as Super Smash Bros. fighters without a single Disney princess. Check it out below:

[gallery=3368]

These images were put together by pixel artist Micheal Villamejor [http://mikev.me/post/99867085840/disneyvssmashbros], and really highlight just how similar some of Nintendo's designs are to Disney. Okay, so maybe Olaf-Kirby is kind of pushing it... but Mario Mickey and Pete Bowser in particular seem almost a little too obvious. Abu as Diddy Kong is probably my personal favorite.

If you'd like to check out the rest of Villamejor's work (which does contain plenty of Disney Princess mash-ups), you can do so right over here [http://mikev.me/].

If you ask me, Goofy as Luigi is the most suitable one. Nice job on that one especially.

Peter Pan Link would be a cheap combo, how do you knock someone out that can fly? Robin Hood Star Fox is too obvious...

For some reason...I actually want this to be a thing. Won't happen, though. Disney would probably throw a Donald-esque fit if someone even suggested a Smash clone with Disney characters.

BTW...I have THIS [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V4SwkBnhlOE] in my head again because of this.

No... this is NOT "what Smash Bros would look like with Disney characters". This is what Disney characters look like Smash Bros. Smash Bros with Disney characters would be far more interesting than more digital cosplay (there's a series title for you, by the way, with my compliments.).

Cudos to the artist for the effort, though. Pixel art is harder than people think, despite the overwhelmingly simple designs. Although it's lacking Metaknight-wing Duck, Mary Peach-ppins, Captain Hercules, Beast-ey Kong, and King DeDeDonald, so... 0/10, would not view again.

This lacks the controversy of which Nintendo Princesses would be which Disney Princesses. Also it lacks any female characters. Though I'm sure someone will bring out the blue body paint & try to pass Maid Marian as Krystal.

I actually think this would be a brilliant idea. I mean, I grew up on Disney. I grew up on gaming. It actually blows my mind that a game like this doesn't exist. Even from a marketing standpoint, this would be a perfect way to not only celebrate Disney's past or forgotten characters, but to highlight new and up-coming ones too. Imagine how awesome it would be to have Mickey Mouse, Chip and Dale, Elsa and Merlin duking it out in Beast's Castle; or playing a boss fight against The Horned King or Chernabog. I dunno, maybe I'm just being a fanboy, but if a game like that was done right, I think it could be a success.

That's... actually pretty awesome. Too bad Disney would never actually allow such a thing..,

Heh, I'm suprised he hasn't made on of the Disney Princess as Princess Peach, Zelda and Roselina.
