Hear hear! Down with this sort of thing!Lt. Vinciti said:Hold On.
I dont care that Freddy Krueger is in Mortal Kombat
I do care that you picked the terrible version and not the original Wes Cravens version!
Damn Remakes!
Ruining The Foundations of Great Things!!
That would be an unfair advantage.Onyx Oblivion said:Warner Bros owns FEAR, too, right?
Alma needs to be in it.
Well, he'll get some of the first, though the lack of recognition will be irritating. (Like anyone from Outworld watches horror flicks.) Fear? Not nearly enough, if at all. Freddy's a horrible man with claws, but I mean he's likely to MAKE FRIENDS with Baraka's gang. Only the most human characters could, and alot of them have better powers than him.dogstile said:This would work, except in freddie films i've seen, it was less about individual fear and more about people needed to know about and fear him for him to be powerful in the slightest.FalloutJack said:Unexpected? Sure. Does he belong there? No.
I had a discussion in another thread about this. For the developers, I agree that it's right out of left field and we wouldn't see it coming. Hell, it makes more sense than Kratos. But when you think of it...Freddie shouldn't be in MK for one good reason: The fear
Freddie Kruger's MO is to engender fear and terror into the people he's killing, the more the better. It makes him stronger, whereas people with courage and a strong will have beaten him down. And then, you have some MK character who aren't just unlikely to be afraid, but who can't. Scorpion regularly goes to hell and he is a dead man in a ninja suit. Would he EVER fear the Fred-meister? Heck no.
Points for the unexpected, but that's about it.
So awesome somebody else already did it.vansau said:Based on what Boon's saying, it sounds like there's a definite possibility that NetherRealm Studios might be able to make a fighting game that stars iconic horror movie characters. How awesome would that be?
Well Star Wars was a long time ago in a galaxy far far away. It could be in that time line >Crimson_Dragoon said:I mean sure, it makes more sense than Star Wars characters in Soul Caliber, but still, this seems more than a little silly.

Honestly, though, he just looks awkward in the game. His design just doesn't fit in with the rest of the MK cast.
Or you could always download him for the sake of making him the victim in the Fatality tutorial when you need to vent.MasterSteef said:I guess its just because I'm a dad, but I just can't condone playing as a child muderer/molester (even if he doesn't do that in the game) like Krueger. I've watched the gameplay trailer multiple times and just can't seem to muster even the tiniest bit of enthusiasm for this DLC Character. In fact, I bought the "Season Pass" for MK on XBL and now I feel a little bit "ripped off" since the 4th Character is now someone who I have no intention of downloading. (Can I get an alternate character or something instead MK team?)
And maybe its just me, but why would anyone root for a serial child molester/murderer character in any piece of fiction anyway? Can someone please explain the appeal of Freddy to me because I am just not getting it (from a parents perspective)
Instant win right there, ain't it?Onyx Oblivion said:Warner Bros owns FEAR, too, right?

What about Shang Tsung? His doesn't get upset. Nor does Kratos, Johnny Cage and KintaroKAPTAINmORGANnWo4life said:-Samurai- said:I'm kinda curious to see what his babality will be....
Maybe he'll be turned back into a normal baby with no burns, and therefore be the only Babality other than Shao Khan that isn't upset?
