Hey guys in this thread we're going to talk about the worst expierience we've had with disconnects.

I was playing Monster hunter tri having fun everyone doing good fighting the monster I'd been having trouble with for a while. Finally got him on the run and BAM disconnected on the spot. It made me rage for around 10 minutes.

Doing really well (which was bloody rare!) in official UT2004 matches and next thing I know I get massive lag and my once positive stats go negative. This has happened more times than there are grains of sand on the beaches.

The same could be said when Steam suddenly decides to disconnect, MW2 then disconnects also and then MW2 won't let me play because Steam isn't connected - which is bull excrement because it's in online mode and working. So you have to re-start MW2 and try to calm yourself down.

I get this exact problem, no idea what causes it either.

I was once very close to beating Walter Sullivan on hard using just golf clubs and there was a power cut. I guess that counts.

Let me set the scene: MW2 on 360. Headquarters on Favela. You're with a good, communicating team that could potentially rock. The enemy team uses NOTHING but AA-12s, RPGs, grenade launchers, and AT4-HSs. This is where the story begins.

HQ points-wise, we were doing decent. We were even with the enemy team for most of the game. Kill-wise, though, we were getting completely, miserably dominated. So for 20 minutes, we were getting spawn camped, one-shotted from across the map, and that kind of shit. But we still managed to rack up the HQ points.

So we had 190 points, and had the headquarters under control. We were going to win, for sure. The number was about to tick up agai--wait. The game stopped. Is this la--shit. That icon. An ethernet cable taken out of its slot. Please, God, PLEA-

Disconnected. No points. No match bonus. Total bullshit.

Some guys came up to me today at 6th form and challenged me to a COD match. I gleefully accepted the offer of a 2vs2.

We beat them by +1000 and they quit before the match ended. I'll see them on Monday and mock them then.
These are supposed to be stories about disconnects I'm not sure that counts.

My connection is mobile broadband, which means that whenever the tower in our area feels like being a dick, I lose my connection. I've lost so many MW2 games due to crippling lag, or client command overflows.

I would say it does. 2 cocky people make me play a game and quit/disconnect when they aren't winning. Sure it was voluntary on their part, but the story still features an example of a disconnect that pissed me off.

So if you're going to judge what is and is not a decent response, maybe you should put some detail in the OP, so we know exactly what you want us to say.
Sorry I just consider that quitting is all you can keep it if you want it's fine.

Kept happening quite a bit to my brother and I when we would play Diablo II with each other over a LAN connection. Every time we beat either Diablo or Baal in Hell difficulty the connection would be dropped and we'd have to do it all over again, only to have it drop again.

We eventually figured out it was being caused by all the items we were storing in the shared party storage, and spent the next half a day moving them all off onto our separate characters.

The game was rushed like all CoD games, and still have the bugs that most companies would have removed in the 6+ month Crunch Mode, Infinity Ward decided was unimportant, they try too hard to release a new CoD game every year.

Have fun with Black Ops, i hear it's buggy as all fuck.

Left 4 Dead 2 Expert on The Parish.
I got to the end FIVE TIMES. Every time, either disconnect or my mom booted me off. At least 6 hours wasted...
