I haven't played all the way through a Metal Gear since MGS2. The storyline took such a left turn during that game that I just couldn't keep interested in the series.

But Kojima has always had this attitude towards women. In some of the lockers in MGS 2, there were real-life photos of Japanese models in tight swimsuits. You could even get a better look once you hide inside a locker and crouch so you can get the "full effect". Not that it fit with the sissy, pussy-whipped protagonist of that game

I liked MSG4 - though killing the women bosses was kind of weird, but whatever.

I did laugh at 'slip the leash of editors' though. Oh the irony.

Well... the predominantly male audience has always ensured that the depiction of women in video games is often far from stellar. So once you add the Japanese element... this sort of thing probably shouldn't come as a surprise.

But yeah, that does sound exceptionally creepy.

Also, I eagerly await the verbal crucifixion of Kane and Lynch 2. That game deserves nothing less.

In the special edition of MGS:3, there is a special cut scene mode where it goes through all of the scenes with women in them and you can push a button to see them in their underwear. It's pretty weird.

Kojima is a mediocre designer at best. Not to mention how much he "borrows" influence from others. After MGS1, everything went downhill.
