Hilarious steam tags

As you might know steam recently added a tag system. It allows users to classify games! Here are some funny results:

You can now browse overpriced games:
http://store.steampowered.com/tag/en/Overpriced/

Do you know that desperate craving for a bad game? Fear not, steam tags are here to save you:
http://store.steampowered.com/tag/en/bad/

Rome II currently has "broken" as the first displayed tag:
http://store.steampowered.com/app/214950/

So. Any bets on how long before they pull this system again since telling customers how broken the stuff you sell isn't exactly good marketing?

Edit: Opening the links in a browser doesn't seem to display the community tags. You will have to check them out for yourself in your steam store application.

Rome 2's best is obviously "Rome wasn't patched in a day." That made me lose my shit.

The Witcher 2 has a tag of "Polish". Don't really understand how that can explain the game at all.

Dragon Age: Origins has "last good Bioware game".

Rust has "naked men", "#Yolo", and "naked"

I have a feeling I'm going to like this new tag system.

Edit: Capitalized Polish so no else assumes I mean polish.

This is actually really funny. I don't think it will last either.

A bunch of people have tagged Darks Souls Prepare to Die edition under the tag "Casual" and there is a "pretentious" tag. Oh boy.

Team Fortress has hat simulator. :)
Day Z has walking simulator along with Dear Esther.

It's an interesting concept that could help you find similar games, which is useful as steam only previously had the recommended section which is worthless for me, and a few genres. All in all I think it's better than nothing especially when funny.

Myst V is tagged with "Jonathan Holmes" for some reason.

DmC has "Edgy", "Shakespearean", and "Franchise Killer".

DMC 3 has "cuhrayzee".

Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory has "Best in the series".

And, of course, Fez has "Diva Dev".

Those are all just looking at the ones that actually show up first on the store pages for the games.

Some people never let go of petty grudges. :D

Yeah, I have a feeling that either devs will be given the ability to remove tags from their titles, or Valve will start removing the ones with strong, negative connotations.

There was one guy on reddit r/gaming who linked a screenshot of his recommended tags and one of his was "Boobies". I have to wonder what was in his library to get that as a preferred tag.

Speaking as someone who purchased it at launch from GOG, and updated it to the enhanced edition, I'd say polish is pretty fair. It was a bit rough around the edges at launch, but the scope and ambition CD Projekt Red had for the Witcher 2 is impressive. There's also a combat mod out, made by one of the devs, it's helpful if you don't want Geralt rolling around like an old man.

I think it's more like how the devs come from Poland. This is really clear in TW1, acting and script is kind of awful for the most part, but 2 was localized a lot better.

But yeah in the other thread about the tags I mentioned how much I love it. Revengeance having "nanomachines, son" tags and the like is just really enjoyable.

Shit, that makes far more sense. I was thinking 'polish' as in improving the game.

OMG, I haven't laughed this hard in a while. Holy shit, I can barely type this.

I grabbed a screenshot of the Rome Broken thing before they remove it.

That covers a lot of them. Personally, Metal Gear Rising's 'Nanomachines Son' and Warframe's 'Grindmaster Prime' are some of the better ones.

Also, CD Projekt Red is a Polish company. =)

POL-ISH.

POLES from POLAND.

OT: Heh. When you give anonymous people the power to label things, weird and funny things will happen.

I saw a quite fun one on BlazBlue: Calamity Trigger the other day: "Noel's Armpits are Delicious".
It appears to be gone now though.

I think the one that I have seen that made me smile was for Tomb Raider (2013) with "Screaming Simulator", a lot of the other games I know or have interest in the tags seem to be accurate.

My biggest problem with these tags is since they aren't managed by Valve there are similar ones, I have seen DLC, DLCFest, Paid Content, and others basically describing the game thing. I just can't see it staying in its current Valve standard "hands off" policy.

Valve seem to be removing the funny ones, so it isn't really user tags, it's just users tagging shit for Valve since it's easier to do it that way and then just remove tags that aren't serious afterwards.

Just another step in Valve's plan to make Steam users do their work for them.

Metal Gear Rising: Revengence:

'Nanomachines son!' and 'Rules of Nature'

Yeh that pretty much sums up the game.
