For some reason, I absolutely love most Finnish Rock Bands, The Rasmus, Poets of the Fall, Hanoi Rocks, The 69 eyes, Nightwish, Apocalyptica, and most of all: HIM. Am I alone in enjoying this music?

Heh. Here in Finland those bands are mostly laughed at. Tecnically there's nothing wrong with them. Most emo kids swell in HIM and the 69 eyes. They don't really inspire respect in more serious musicians/listeners.
Apocalyptica was cool at first, but the idea got old quite quickly. The blokes are great, though, I have grabbed a few beers with them.

Of the bands you mentioned, I like apocalyptica, but only momentarily.

I have 4 HIM cds and I enjoy Apocalyptica as well although, I have yet to purchase any of their albums. Every time I go to HMV, the Apocalyptica section's empty.

Sonata Arctica and Lordi are more of my type of Finnish bands but really where they come from for me doesn't really matter no matter what the music is good

I do quite like Apocalyptica, though I'm a bit behind to be honest, I still only have Inquisition Symphony, but I'll eventually get around to getting some more.

Another Finnish band I like that doesn't seem to have been mentioned is Ruoska, an industrial-ish band. I think Kesä tulla saa is still my most played song on iTunes.

I strongly recommend arguably the best Finnish metal band ever: Reverend BIzarre.

Alamaailman Vasarat are a fun band, they take traditional polka songs, but speed them up and put a bunch of energy into it
Bird from the Abyss have a very weird sound.
Oranssi Pazuzu is a fun spacey-blackend metal outfit.

I like Nightwish and Apocalyptica. I'm not really a HIM fan, and nightwish has faded compared to Sirenia, Within Temptation, Delain, and Epica (though their not Finnish)
