Pretty much the same as I did when I was 17, only then it was cool for me to buy porn and cigarettes and M rated games.

Congratulations, now you can go to big boy jail!

Unfortunately in the US there isn't really an advantage to being 18, especially since I don't smoke. 18 was exciting, but not really all that different from any other birthday.

It meant my past criminal record was wiped clean. Now I get to be a first offender again. :D

The only cool thing about being 18 is that you can (legally) drink. And that's not even true in some countries.

Turning 18 didn't phase me. Turning 19 freaked me out. I turn 20 this year... Eep...
Yeah, me too. And since I've spent a great deal of time joking to other people that they're old because they're 20, it's not gonna be fun... I don't want to be a grown-up!

My 18th was actually pretty good, but it didn't make a lick of difference the next month.

Personally, I'll be 24 this year. Looking forward to my 25th. I can vote, I can drive, I can buy booze... but I still can't rent a fucking car by myself.
Your avatar helps bring out how irritated that makes you.

OT: I felt just like I do now, but 2 year younger. When I was 18 I had just recently stepped bleary eyed into college, and for the first semester survived... Then the 2nd semester kicked my ass.

Very much the same as I felt when I was 17 years and 364 days.

I'd been going to 18-rated films and drinking (legal age 18 here) for two years already. All in all, made no difference to my life whatsoever. I guess I got to vote when the next election came round a year or so later.

My 18th I got kicked out of highschool, had to get a job, get registered at a another school so I could get the 10 credits I was missing for a freakin HS diploma, got shitfaced after that week was finally over, and got hit by a go Kart.
I can vote, and go to good movies now though so it all works out.

You can now legally vote, smoke, and be tried for crimes as an adult. Congratulations, you're 18.

18th is overhyped if you ask me. Just another year, no matter how much our culture sensationalizes it.

Not much different from being 17, it was kinda a disappointment. I turned 22 last month. Still feel like a teenager. Perhaps I'm in limbo.

Didn't make a difference at first. I was the second person in my group of friends to turn 18, so we didn't go drink on my birthday. In fact, we went to a restaurant before my actual birthday since one of my friends was leaving. So I couldn't even drink if I wanted to. The plan was to go to my house and drink, but my parents put an end to that. Also, I was already drinking (not getting drunk, mind you, just casually drinking) with my parents since I was around 15-16.

However, now it's great because we can have a beer when we go out. Drinking's fun, it makes me happier and funnier!

Now, I'm turning 19 in July. That's kind of scary. I mean... 18 is still young... But 19? That always seemed so ... old. I thought I would have done so many things by the time I'm 19... But I haven't. I have a feeling this is what the rest of my life will feel like.
