Everyone knows who the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse are, right? There those guys will kickstart the end of the world when the time is right. Y'know em: Conquest, War, Famine and Death? Well anyways, lets say for argument's sake that you somehow entered a parallel reality where these Four were instead replace by the titular Horsemen of the Enlightenment, who like there counterparts will bring about the end of the world, but not in the literal sense.

What I'm asking you is, who would these Horsemen be? What Concepts would accurately depict Enlightenment?

The Horsemen of Understanding, Peace, Comfort, and Life. Pretty much the opposites of the four other Horsemen.

I tend to think of enlightenment as clarity. Unclouded judgment, no prejudices, unaffected by outside forces like social pressures or expectations. Very clear, logical, and unbiased thinking.

So I guess the Horseman of Enlightenment would lift the shrouds of cultural barriers and taboos, allowing us to see ourselves for what we are. Taking away all those little things we legitimize our actions with, making us see our actions and their results in the context of the world.

I think you mean Pestilence, War, Famine, and Death, but whatever.

The Horsemen of Peace, Love, Joy, and Life. Since I have no imagination.

Yep, never heard of Conquest the Horseman.

I would go with the Four Horsemen, Rainbows, Smiles, Love, and No Taxes.
Actually, Pestilence is a recent creation, who has gone on to replace Conquest, though the two are interchangeable. He rode a white horse (as opposed to the Pale one who carried Death) and wore a Crown.

Here see:

Is it just me, or does Pestilence look like a huge troll in that picture? And look at his horse! It's laughing at our suffering!

Apparently, unlike the other horsemen, Pestilence does it for the lulz.
