Yup, pretty much. I'm at work right now and this website is the only thing stopping me from falling asleep on my keyboard.GonvilleBromhead said:This website
Owch !! I feel bad complaining about work after reading that!overpuce said:Tripled. I work 12 hour night shifts in front of the keyboard.
You, my friend, obviously have no idea how boring my actual work is.Kendarik said:Isn't the solution to actually work so you aren't bored?ninjaRiv said:Work is boring, we all know this as scientific fact but how do you stop it from being so boring that you kill small animals? How do YOU stay entertained at work?
I retract all previous sympathy.overpuce said:Don't feel bad. It's good money and I don't have to deal with people often.
That is never the solution.Kendarik said:Isn't the solution to actually work so you aren't bored?

This website mostly, but also other ones too.
I remember when I worked at a bookstore and we had to make sure every book was squared away as possible on the display tables. Then we had to wipe down the shelves and front merchandise. Then the managers will call everyone together to complain we didn't sell enough member cards. I don't know if that is worse or working the registers and trying to get angry people to buy said cards.Scarim Coral said:Lucky for you who can access the internet at work since I work in retail.
The only time I get bored is when it's my clean up duty during the last hour or two before my shift finish (depend on my hours on that work). This task involve going back to front of the sales floor and make the whole place neat and tidy and also fronting the products so it doesn't look empty. I have no problem if it's less than an hour but two hours?
I don't know how I beat the boredom from that as my only concern doing that task is trying to walk as little as possible (I wear shoes so walking too much from that make my feet ache).
I have found that webcomics put me behind on my work lolBertylicious said:This website and webcomics. It's not really boredom though, more procrastination.
I would love to do that, but I sincerely doubt that my boss would have the same reaction.SckizoBoy said:Try trolling your boss... I've done that a couple times... once filled his mailbox with MLP related stuff, he laughed his head off...
Oh so much this.GonvilleBromhead said:This website
Do it in a way your not in the direct line of fire thats the key part, or create other mild irritations around the office, such as unplugging everything but the power and monitor from a pc then sitting but not connecting everything else into the back of the pc.Girl With One Eye said:I would love to do that, but I sincerely doubt that my boss would have the same reaction.SckizoBoy said:Try trolling your boss...
