How do you think your parents would react if they went through your internet browsing history?

I am calculated and careful when it comes to my history. I have never been caught. I even let little stuff fall through the cracks sometimes so they won't get suspicious.

Although if they did find out they would likely like to have a nice, long chat...with a therapist.

Protip: if you're going on sites you don't want people to know about, use the "inprivate"/"incognito"/etc. setting on your browser.

OT: There wouldn't be much to talk about, in case you hadn't already guessed!

Well if I ever do anything that I don't want people to find I use private browsing and use a browser that I hardly ever use. So they probably would wonder why I have so many webcomics in the history and ask what TV tropes is.

Probably something along the lines of "What the hell is Escapistmagazine.com?".

I dont think they would care. Its mostly random youtube videos, tech news sites and pony related sites, no porn thanks to private browsing... wait, i forgot 4chan. shit.

A couple of safeguards against this very thing:
1. Use a decoy browser. I have Firefox and IE set up(even though I never use them) and I actually use Google Chrome.
2. Ever heard of Incognito Browsing?
If they got past my double-redundant system, they wouldn't be too surprised, but the pony stuff might shock them.
And here I thought this double system was of my own design

They'd probably wonder how the hell I ever got a girlfriend (I myself still struggle to comprehend that to this day).

I don't think they would mind the Youtube, Escapist and Fanfiction....they'd raise an eyebrow at Equestria Daily though.

My mom would likely critique my porn selections and judge them boring.

Which would be the second most interesting conversation of the night after "why is my zombie mother on my computer?"

Mad? Disappointed? Confused? Happy their kid is just like them?

they'd go mad I bet you. Let's go through a non contextual (for obvious reasons) list of site names:

literotica
gameinformer
escapist (homepage)
Furry-Within
Byblos RP
pics that don't suck
redtube
ragecollection

and so on. As I'm sure you can imagine, since this is a very censored version of what I actually go to, they would likely go mad, mainly because they're still very sheltered catholic old people, the kind that thing it's a bit over the top to have a first person view game that has you killing zombies >.>

Depends on what you mean by browser history because if you exclude bookmarks in FF then they would not see any really extraordinary a few tech, some gaming and some news sites but otherwise nothing really shocking to them. They know I'm computer and game interested with some music and art side interests...

If they went through all of my FF bookmarks though, that might be less healthy... For my hearing at least... But I'm an adult and they have nothing to do in my computer....

I clear my history occasionally, so at the moment they wouldn't find anything questionable.

'What does this button do...'

Yeah my parents are not PC literate.

If they were it would be a pretty normal reaction. Thank you Chrome incognito windows!
