How many games are there that facilitate split-screen/LAN multiplayer?

How many games are there for the PS3/360 that offer split-screen or LAN multiplayer?
Not only am I looking for some games to suggest to my college's Computer Science club to obtain for future recreational events, but I am also trying to see if my fears of local multiplayer games dying off in favor of online-only multiplayer games are true.

Halo is a given, as far I know. There is also Twisted Metal. But are there anymore?...
I remember making a topic about this about a year ago, asking if there was any point at all in owning 4 controllers for the PS3/360, considering how very few games actually used all four slots. Unfortunately, not many people could provide many more examples, leading me to believe that this is becoming a problem that is unfortunately not getting much attention this generation.

not enough, off the top of my head.. Borderlands 1/2 , Left for dead 1/2, all Nazi Zombies, RE 5/6, Army of Two... thats all I got right now

The Halo and Call of Duty games have 4-player splitscreen. That's the reason I own 4 Xbox 360 controllers myself, although one is for the PC as well, pulls double duty.

Other than mentioned already:

Minecraft (2-player), Gears of War (2-player), most Tom Clancy games (2-player), Rage (2-player). Then you have just about every fighting or racing game ever made has at least a two player option on the same machine.
