How much tissue do you go through when sick?

So, a cold has been going around my family. This of course means I'm spending another day off sick instead of resting...

Anyway, I've started to wonder about myself as you often do when suffering. Why do I have such a bad runny nose? Every time I get sick, my nose is the first area affected, and it hits me really hard. I have to blow my nose every 1-2 minutes, non-stop for days on end. If I try to ignore it, it simply dribbles down my face and over my mouth. Basically, I can't ignore it and have to keep blowing.

So, I started feeling ill about 8 hours ago. When it started I made a quick trip to the store to buy some Kleenex. I got these "3X larger than normal!" boxes with like 210 tissues each. I thought that would be plenty. Well a mere quarter of a day into this sickness and I've already gone through one of the boxes (damn!). This doesn't feel normal to me... I mean, it's always like this so I know I'll get better, but it doesn't seem to affect anyone else in my family like this.

Reason I'm posting is I'm curious if anyone else gets it really bad in the nose.

I actually googled this before I made this post, and found this:

http://www.reddit.com/r/estimation/comments/xpklb/request_how_much_will_the_average_person_spend_on/

it's actually kind of a funny read with 3 guys trying to look smarter than the last. But what bothered me was the guy at the end said "assuming an estimated 10 times a day blowing your nose when sick". What? 10 times? I do that in like 5 minutes. I blow my nose hundreds of times a day, if not a thousand or two.

If it's summer and I've had to go outside I'll have to blow or wipe my nose every few minutes. At the end of the day I usually end up being unable to wipe, resorting to lightly padding the rubbed red-raw skin on and around it. If I'm at home and I get fed up with it I just make two tightly packed rolls of tissue and jam one up each nostril. Aside from that I don't generally catch colds. I go for months without having one and then get the worst one that's going around.

A lot. A loooooooooooooooot. I have a recurring problem with post-nasal drip even when I'm healthy, so when I'm sick I've been known to fill entire wastebaskets with tissue within a single day.
