Did you have fun with family, eat alone, or was it the worst day ever? Even if your Thanksgiving was months ago I'd still like to know. And if you live in a country that doesn't celebrate any form of Thanksgiving then how was your day in general?

Nice, lot better than last year. Well, walking over burning coals would be better than last thanksgiving so...

Anyway, it was nice. It was just my Mom and my grandparents but it was nice. The food was amazing and we had a good time. Overall, nice thanksgiving.

First Thanksgiving away from home and family, but one of my friends from work invited me and some other guys over. He likes to cook and made the whole meal afterwards the four played ninja storm 3, injustice and Black ops 2. It was a lot of certainly more fun than sitting in my room alone.

We had like 50 family members over and ate pretty much nonstop from 2pm to 10pm. I'm pretty drunk right now and I feel like I'm about to give birth, but beyond that, it was pretty excellent.

First thanksgiving in my life where I didn't eat turkey and didn't even see my family today.

I'm not a Christian, so I didn't have any reason to celebrate thanksgiving.

With that said, happy Hanukkah, everyone! =D

EDIT: Turns out, Thanksgiving doesn't seem to be a Christian holiday. I got it confused with the Swedish "tacksägelsedagen," which means "thanksgiving day," and is a Christian thing.

Well, since we don't have that American thing in Sweden, I still didn't really have any reason to celebrate it.

Thanksgiving is a Christian thing? I thought it was a US national holiday or something.

It was amazing, I had so much fun hanging out with my cousins I only get to see once a year.

The food was amazing too. Turkey, stuffing, pumpkin pie, and mashed potatoes. I'm drooling just thinking about it again.

I also got to try apple moonshine stuff my cousin bought and I swear to god it was basically liquid apple pie.

If I hadn't been in a family setting I would have drank the whole thing immediately then probably died XD

It was 40% but didn't seem like it.

Was some dangerous stuff XD

It was okay, I suppose. I'm ALWAYS the one volunteered to do most of the cooking because I'm the only one who can cook worth a damn, so it was more work than enjoyment for me, as per usual. My brother's wife was in charge of rolls, tea, and vegetables... The rolls were good (Hawaiian sweet rolls), the tea was pretty awful (the bottled Red Diamond tea, ick) and the vegetables didn't happen since I don't count green bean casserole as a vegetable since it's like 50% cream of something soup. But she's freely admitted she is not a wife-y type whereas I am totally the type who looks and acts like a Stepford Wife minus the whole Stepford Wife personality. I wear a frilly apron and pastel dresses and I love cooking and making a home beautiful.

To be honest, I'm just a massive control freak when it comes to cooking because I know exactly what I'm doing and I very seldom mess anything up in the kitchen and when there's one or two elements that go wrong (like the tea and the lack of vegetables), it just bothers me to no end and it makes me wish I had just kicked everyone else out of the picture and completely done it myself.

That said, the food I made was delicious and it was pretty fun to meet my brother in law. My nephew was firmly attached to his Wii U so he barely said two words to anyone. I was so busy fixating on the food that I was able to avoid any real conversation, fortunately.

The food was standard Thanksgiving fare: a whole roasted turkey, a ham, mashed potatoes, sweet potato casserole (which was fucking awesome, I tried a new recipe this year and threw some extra stuff into it), stuffing, green bean casserole, pumpkin pies (again, tried a new recipe that was sooo much easier to make than my old ones and it was pretty fabulous). This was the first year I'd ever made a whole roasted turkey since we generally just make a turkey breast and it turned out both delicious and gorgeous.

Food was a success but the irritation was a little much. I hate Thanksgiving, really.

Weird question but I also had a wonderful thanksgiving with amazing food and brought a jar of apple pie moonshine which I shared with my cousin and the rest of the family. Are you my cousin?

Ooh, I will be intrigued if family members find each other just by sharing moonshine related anecdotes on The Escapist! I hope my relatives aren't reading this somehow and getting insulted that I hated the tea...

I didn't make it back to Pennsylvania for Thanksgiving with my family, so I stayed here and hung out with my boyfriend and new puppy. Made some habanero guacamole, and had dinner at a Brazilian steakhouse.

Much better than last year, which was spent with my crying family in the trauma center of the hospital after my cousin was put into a coma with massive head trauma resulting from a car accident.

Overall, the fact that she's here today and is having a remarkable recovery is something I'm pretty freaking thankful for. c:

Probably not... You a Buckeye with a super Irish last name? :p
Lol, nope. Just a crazy coincidence I guess! Was it legal moonshine or the real stuff? I got Ol' Smokey and it was awesome.

And Legal I think, but I didn't ask questions.

I live in the old Empire, so do not give any thanks.

Although I did get Risk of Rain and Anomaly 2 in the Humble Store's Thanksgiving sale - so thanks!

Mine was fine the food was good but I didn't eat much though and for once my family acknowledged my presence so yeah.
