I cannot WAIT for this game! Oh my god it will be too much fun. I will be going with #3 and #4 on Hardest difficulty because that's how I love my stealth games. Hitman style and Psycho way FTW! Can't wait can't wait can't wait. It's been a long time since I've been so excited for a game like this.

I'll do what i usually do on stealth heavy assassin based games... Murder whoever looks at me funny, then RP about my character having multiple personalities.

Not really

Probably a stealth heavy run, screw it up, murder every NPC, quick load and do it properly

With a controller. Heheheh....

I'll probably mix it up Like I do with Hitman; One mission I'm the most analytical and precise killer in existence, and the next mission...well, I'm rather annoyed that on Blood Money, I've never been able to get my 'sound' meter to full at the end of a level.

Won't bother. Bethesda doesn't seem to want the money of PS3 players anyway, so ain't giving it to them. Besides, not like we'll get any DLC for the game anyway.
But...Bethsda has nothing to do with the game, aside from publishing it. And since it's their development team that are fucking up the DLC for Skyrim on the PS3, your perception seems disgustingly narrow.

I'll be playing it this way:

I'd buy 'em both if I could, but money's tight. But I plan to play it stealthily when I do eventually pull it out of a bargain bin somewhere. There are tons of action games out there, and not many stealth games. gotta take advantage of this one.

I don't begrudge your choice but I have to ask why didn't you save up for both? Several publishers still tend to release their products around Christmas time and I skimped on various items for much of the year anticipating this.

First playthrough will be killing each of the targets personally, but leaving no other trace (apart from unconscious guards) the next will be "freak accidents."

Sees first page of thread. *Sigh* poor Arkane...

Like I always do in these type of games. First playthrough I'll be a ghost, second playthrough a panther style(mix up stealth, entrapment and attacking from the shadows style), then a mass murdering maniac.

I'll probably go through the first time just killing my targets (in ways that make it look like an accident if I can figure them out), while also killing as few random guards as I can manage. After that, I'll try to make it through each subsequent playthrough using more stealth and killing fewer people, until I can manage a fully pacifist playthrough. Once I've achieved that, then I'll go balls-out, killing everything in my way with little subtly just to see how dark that path gets.

I will first play full pacifist because I view it as the greatest challenge. How do you beat a stealthy assassin game about "removing" targets without actually killing anyone? That's the question I plan on answering. :)

My favorite way to play stealth games:
Quietly kill everyone.
Pick people from the shadows one by one until there's no one left.

I've been playing Thief all week getting ready for Dishonored, although Thief almost requires a pacifist playthrough.

What's the playthrough called where you don't play it cos you're out of money?
I believe that's called imagining how you'd play it if you could afford it. It may or may not involve a big cardboard box and a cushion fort.
Dishonored - $60.

Chasing the cat around, crouching and wielding a kitchen knife - priceless.

Run through 1: Killing kept to an absolute minimum with the exception of targets. If I need to kill in an emergency, will kill, but from the shadows will only use sleep darts and chokes, cause you know, I'm an all round nice guy

Run through 2: the pacifist run through

Run through 3: Psychopathic psycho style, killing everything that moves.

All run throughs on hardest difficulty, no point to playing stealthy on an easy setting.

I will probably attempt some stealth but do a lot of combat on my first playthrough, rather than trying to sneak through the whole thing, it's more that I would try and reduce the opposition before entering full blown combat.
Im hoping their are plenty of fun and awesome combat powers.

After that I plan to do a stealth play through but I expect that im probably just going to end up doing them both at the same time or something. My stealth play through is also likely to fail and devolve into murdering everything.

No kills except those required by the plot
I don't think any kills are required for the plot. You can just sell the guys into slavery or imprison them in the Cidhna Mine.

OT: I'll probably be one of those guys who fucks around with ability combinations to hilarious and probably sadistic effect.
I won't be killing people needlessly though. Just people who get in my way. And unlucky people who happen to be nearby when I'm experimenting.

I mean... 'experimenting'.
That sounds creepier.

Different company on this one.

The Skyrim DLC problem is because of Bethesda Game Studios, the company's internal development studio, who develops the Elder Scrolls games (and, by extension, the DLC for those games).

Dishonored is made by Arkane studios, which, while owned by Bethesda's parent company, Zenimax, is a completely different studio.

The only link between the two (aside from being owned by the same parent company) is that both games are published by Bethesda Softworks, the company's publishing arm.

Confused yet? Corporations, I tell you...

Anyway, while I could certainly understand if you didn't want to give Zenimax money because of the rather sketchy Skyrim-PS3 relationship, your concerns regarding not getting DLC for Dishonored are likely unfounded. Different developer and all that.

OT: When I get the game (and it's currently competing with XCOM a.t.m.), I'll definitely roll a Ghost as much as possible. The ability to get in and out without anyone being the wiser is infinitely more appealing to me than leaving a bloody trail.

I'll go through door number one man, kill everything. I was sold as soon as I heard that you could have a horde of man eating rats.

Seems like you've got a setup very similar to mine, Big Picture is a MUST - you'll love it.

To the topic at hand; I will be completely winging my playthrough with whatever style feels best, using a control pad on PC. :p
