I think he looks terrible. Sorry but he just looks so unrealistic. Mind you I was never big on translating exactly the comic to the screen so meh.

As a thespian though? I am fired up to see him.

They certainly look like they could be, yes.

If the symbols on his shoulders aren't then I would definitely say that belt buckle looks promising.

That just means you either have a good memory or a strong devotion to Hugo-ism.

I'm 99% sure that in the comics, the Red Skull got hit in the face with some chemical that turned his skin red and tightened his flesh to the point that his head looked like a red skull. Maybe there's a new Red Skull that just wears a mask or the retconed him (I wouldn't put that past Marvel), but I'm pretty sure that way back when I read comics, he wasn't wearing a mask.

That's his more modern reboot. When he was first introduced, it was a mask.
