If nothing else, you have to give the developers [http://www.ghostwiregame.com/] credit for trying something new, no?
Damn, you're making it on purpose!

I'm firmly convinced that my basement is haunted. Can it perform impromptu exorsisms? THAT would be a nifty travel feature.
You need the priest add on, and thats a rip off as you keep on having to buy holy water cartridges.

I don't think this is going to be as much fun as it looks. So your looking for ghosts with this thing and...What? Interact with some random event with them that boils down to something like a 'multiple choice' option?

Even then, there is that whole 'wandering around' element thing the trailer shows. That just reminds me of "Zelda: Phantom Hourglass" trying to use the Microphone/stylus controls on a handheld console, and to quote a famous prick loosely, "Doing such a thing out and about, which I remind you what handhelds are for, would probably cause your own major organs to physically tear themselves from your body to escape humiliation."

no, ghosts dont exist.
It obviously works by projecting a pre programed image into the screen that the camera captures. Not actual ghosts.

gimmick... surely its just designed to make ghosts pop up in random places? The DSi camera/microphone aren't designed to pick up signs of ghosts, afterall... I'm pretty sure you'd need more specialised equipment to do something like that.

I don't know what to think actually. If it turns out ghosts dont exsist, do you get a refund?
It won't make a difference. Judging by the preview, What your looking at will show up on the screen as well as a randomly generated "ghost" (one of probably 20-30). So even if ghosts do exist, you'll still find them. I wouldn't buy this, because after playing it for a while, seeing the same ghosts over and over again could get kind of lame.

It looks schwifty, and if it had ah-hoc multi-player...teaming up with a few mates (everyone and their sister will get a DSi for Christmas this year, so I doubt they'll be hard to wrangle up) could be great fun... I'd prefer a photon cannon really but maybe someday.

Might not work amazingly well during the day, but at night it could be pretty spooky...what's around the next corner...Slimer or a mugger?

Although one feels that walking around with your DSi held out in front of you chasing "ghosts" might be a way to get committed. It's starting to seem like the people who make DS games to include the microphone or camera have never actually left their programming basement so don't realise there are certain norms in society that yelling into a plastic box or holding a camera up to strangers may offend...

Still, that aside, it's a great and original idea. Kudos.

Holy fuck no.

A great idea yes but I am so not getting this and not hanging around anyone with this, I get freaked out by ghosts.

If it makes you take pictures of them, I'm calling it a Fatal Frame ripoff. However, a very well-done ripoff at that.

My friend has a DSi. He might pick it up.
