Yep it's definately a Batarian husk. I read the article in Game Informer about ME3 and it said that the Geth have been "repurposing" species other than humans into husks. Maybe we will see Krogan husks though.

Rather not that will really be a pain(but the game probably will have them).
The husk on the picture is a bit weird, the way it is build it looks like a krogan but the 4 lenses give an batarian feel to it. Yahg husk is a very interesting idea but the head doesn't really fit.

As much as I love Liara, I'm a little disappointed because it means Samara/Morinth probably wont be back. They both had the same role of pure biotic, and they were both Asari as well, which means Liara will win. I was really looking forward to what they were going to do with Samara/Morinth, especially since Morinth was obviously an afterthought.

What makes me most happy about those screen shots is that ME3 still appears to be using the same engine, meaning I might even be able to run it on my PC. Huzzah! Oh yeah, and it looks awesome and all that.
