Hyper Japanese reporter? Please, they are all hyper. They are Japanese, that's what they do. And that why we love them. Public ridicule and acting like an idiot in social settings is they way (Kareoke bars anyone?). Sure, western countries may frown upon these things, because we are very conservative and we still have a false sense of pride and an arbitrary obligation to act "normal" whatever that means in your country. BUT, Japanese people can have fun in a million ways (without regret or feeling awkward) we consider childish or retarded. Letting go of social and cultural norms is a form of freedom only experienced in Japan.

Thats why the Natal will be a giant hit in that country, IMHO.

Wow, could Microsoft choose a more terrible spokesperson?

Cons:
- Doesn't even try to dress nicely or clean up for TV appearance
- Doesn't speak Japanese
- Isn't Japanese
- Shades inside? less drinking/drugs at trade shows please
- Has something sitting out that he needs to hide from the camera, be prepared people

Pros:
- Is apparently terrible enough at their own products that reporters can beat him first try (I'd say he did it on purpose but I have severe doubts in his acting abilities)

Microsoft is failing in Japan due to second/third/fourth? rate efforts like this :p
