Okay this is my first time building a PC and im trying to build one that should be able to run mid-range games fairly well on a tight budget (below £300) Im from the UK

So Far I have:
CPU- AMD ADX250OCGMBOX Athlon II X2 250 - 3.0 GHz AM3 CPU with Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 Pro Rev.2 CPU Cooler

Motherboard- ASUS M4A78LT-M LE - AMD 760G - Socket AM3 - DDR3 1800(OC) - SATA 3Gb/s - SATA RAID - MicroATX - Onboard Graphics

Graphics card- Sapphire 11166-02-20R HD 5450 1GB DDR3 PCIE HDMI Graphics Card

DVD drive- Sony AD-5260S-0B 24x Internal DVDRW SATA Black Bare

Is this good? what should I change?

Now things I still need help with-

Hard Drive- What size should I get?

RAM- Either 4GB(2x2GB) or 8GB(2x4GB)Which would be better is 8 too much?

Case- What should I be looking for in a case? Good brands that are cheap would be good.

So thats it so far anything I'm missing?

Go with 2x2gb of RAM. Also if you're on a budget, go with 500GB or less of HDD space; you can always add more later.

As far as cases go, just get one that fits all your parts with good airflow and cable management.

Also you're missing a PSU.

There's not much you can do with £300, especially with VAT and all, but if you could save up a bit more then this is what I'd recommend:

Thanx alot for that I can expand my budget by a bit. I wasn't sure whether to get a case with a PSU or to get them seperate.

Edit: what site is that?

It's Aria [http://www.aria.co.uk/]

and yeah most of the time the PSU's that come with the case are pretty bad unless they're from Antec or Corsair or something.

Between There and There.
Country
The Wide, Brown One.
Yeah, Kabutos as specced a good budget machine there and one that's potentially more powerful than it looks at first glance. Plenty of upgrade room, a CPU that can be unlocked into a tri- or quad-core and a PSU with enough extra grunt to handling core unlocking and overclocking.

Check out http://www.ebuyer.com/ and http://www.cclonline.com/ for parts too. You might be able to get the same parts cheaper if they're up there.

I'd go for a 1TB HDD tbh. theres not much between them and smaller ones price wise anymore.
Although it does depend on how much media you have.

And as someone said if you're getting, or planning to get in the future, a decent graphics card make sure you get a fairly good PSU. That where I went wrong with building my PC

Also if you plan to overclock your CPU make sure you get a decent fan

Of course don't bother with a power supply. Computers run on fucking pixie dust. Jokes aside, I see that another user has selcted one for you. It's a good one. Stick with it.

Also, That graphics card will not run shit. At least shell out a good 80 or so for a 5770.
Oh, well look at this.
