I hate Inspector Gadget

No, I don't hate the show, I hate the character. I remember watching the show as a kid and getting so angry that Penny and Brain did all the work, yet the ignorant Inspector Gadget got all the credit. Sorry, I just had to share that.

Inspector Gadget was a homage to Maxwell Smart from the old Get Smart TV series...just without the dog and Penny. It's pretty much the same plot...bumbling secret agent, that you see in any of those shows / movies...Get Smart, Johnny English, The Pink Panther...

You aren't really supposed to like him, he was supposed to remain blissfully unaware that he really didn't help much.

Yeah, but the show was good because of that reason. Do you remember the Disney Movie? He actually solved a case, and the movie sucked.

If he hadn't solved any part of the case and was blissfully unaware, I'd have put up with Rupert Everett as Dr. Claw (But really, who wouldn't put up with Rupert Everett?)

OT: It was a terrible movie, yes, but I'd have put up with it a little better than how the movie played it. He was only oblivious for about two scenes. Two scenes =/= Whole movie. If it were better written (and directed, and things of that nature), It'd have been decent, at best, but if he were unaware the entire movie, it'd have been funnier.
