Its got this big glass dome over it; breaking the light would mean risking large, heavy glass falling onto me and all my stuff; I've seriously considered it, though.Audemas said:My dorm lights do the exact same thing and there was recently an "accident" involving the lights so now I have no lights except for my computer screen, desk lamp, and tv. Is there a penalty for breaking the lights?
You need a special screwdriver to get to 'em, apparently, and the ceilings are pretty high.chronobreak said:What's the worst that could happen if you just change them yourself? Inform the maintenance people you are going to do it, and they'll probably stop you right there, and just do it, or if they don't, but the lights and save the receipt. Get the cheapest ones you can, obviously, and written statements from other people in the dorm pertaining to previous inquiries about the lights and unwillingness on the campus to fix them. Probably a lot more work then you'd want to do, but it's up to you.
