Connie and Frankie pickpocketed the waitresses because they work for tips? Connie is a dancer! You'd think she'd sympathize a bit and cut a girl some slack, eh? HARSH! lol
Connie is still my favorite though. Seems like a really nice person
In response to some of the opposing viewpoints expressed in this thread regarding show content:
First, if you're not into RPGs then you're probably not going to get this show. I have never seen any of the movies that any of the participants have done. I don't think I would want to at this point, reason being that the way I have come to know of these people is for being a cool bunch of friends being themselves and enjoying playing a game together, and I would like to keep that mind's eye view of them.
That being said, I have asked myself if I would still enjoy this show as much as I do if the participants were not attractive ladies. Probably not. However, here is one of the main factors that I find compelling. These people by virtue of their occupations likely have world views that are very different from most folks. Watching a video of the crew at the local game store playing D&D would probably bore the hell out of me, but that's because I probably have a hell of a lot more in common with those people than I do the ones in IHIWMA. Watching the local crew play wouldn't be interesting because it is essentially very familiar. Watching the crew in IHIWMA is entertaining to me because they're about as far from your "typical" gaming group as you can get. Though, I really like that in IHIWMA they DON'T actually make porn references very often. They simply play the game. Something I found very interesting is when Justine was talking about first being asked to play. Her response was that she was nervous about it because she thought that she might not "be creative enough". Connie also expressed similar anxiety about her first time. Now these are people who by necessity have to be very uninhibited. However, here is a situation that has made them self-conscious. So it's easier for them to dance naked or be filmed having sex than it is to be filmed playing a role playing game? That to me is interesting as hell.
The first guest star, Sasha, seemed to jump right in. I found her to be highly entertaining and really liked her. Justine seemed to be very uncomfortable the whole time she played. That dynamic in and of itself was interesting to me.
It helps a whole lot that the players and DM come off as really nice and cool people. I could totally see hanging out at a bar with any or all of them and shooting the shit for hours. Part of the appeal for me is the genuineness of the show. It's just half a dozen or so interesting friends gaming together. It it were some contrived "Hey let's get a bunch of porn stars to play D&D" and they were a bunch of vapid and cynical bimbos getting naked every five minutes, that would bore the hell out of me.
,Cheers
