Would if make a difference to you if these women were not pornstars and strippers? Or maybe if they were women who *are* paid to talk, like motivational speakers. Would you like this show better if all the players were motivational speakers?
Well, since they are paid to do this show...they're already paid to talk. I guess I'm a little annoyed at the other commentor's kind of moronic assumption that someone's day job is their defining characteristic in life. Oh who are we kidding-- that wasn't his point. His point was that they were women, & that makes them worthy of contempt. Which means we probably shouldn't bother paying any attention to him.

Regular D&D is boring to watch or listen to -- or at least, I can't ever get through the WotC or Penny Arcade or Spoony videos. But this is edited, and that makes a ton of difference.

It's the strangest thing, I've had a bit of a harder time getting into the last few weeks and I think I figured out why. With the three way split of the party, I can only imagine that y'all are doing everything in your power to edit up to a point where folks are back together again a.s.a.p., while still keeping up with the plots. That means covering a substantial amount of material before getting back to things like "and then we stopped due to the temptation of macaroni and cheese."

As creative a world and premise as you've come up with Mr. Sabbath, the fact remains that there are 1,502 completely fun fantasy tales/modules/whatevers out there to distract us. What I keep coming back for every Wednesday is the people and their delightful real life shenaniganary.

I say none of this as criticism. Quite the opposite. I'm just looking forward to seein' everybody back on the same road again for the conversations it breeds. 'Til then, muchas gracias.

Oh, and the Old Lady's en route to Tennessee where she can play around with her own computer, but 'til then she'd just like to voice her mutual adoration for Sergeant Morbid's wig of kool-aid flavored, cotton candy delicious wig. Props to Vivka.

Splitting up the party is a taboo for good reason!

I registered just so I could say that the Bob Hope poster is awesome, Connie. I'm jealous.

So let me get this right.

You take a game D&D that is completely boring listen to if you aren't playing and then have pornstars and strippers(whom most men pay specifically NOT to talk) and have them talk about the boring game.

I think I miss the point of these videos.
I don't know what kind of strip clubs you go to; I WISH I could get paid and not have to talk to anyone. It's a very chatty profession.
You think correctly - you DO miss the point, but here it is in case you've got room for it in that little bitty brain. It's a show for people who DON'T think it's boring to play or watch people play D&D. Super easy concept. Don't worry, you'll get it one day.
i was suprised he said that. i was expecting "...and you made it really fun to watch and love" ?_? seriosly i laugh so much at these videos, how can you NOT like them?!?!

That's a chunky, yet adorable chihuahua.

Also... I dig the purple hair.
Everyone always says my dog is fat. He's totally not!
I don't get it!
It's the neck, I tell ya! It's just one continuous size of cute dog from head to body.
It's true! He can't wear a regular collar cause his head is the same size as his neck and he slips right out of it.

Well that conversation with a dragon (or dragon-like creature, as wyverns are only distantly related to dragons[footnote]I don't remember them being intelligent enough to speak come to think of it, guess this one is special?[/footnote]) certainly was more... pleasant than the last one my paladin had. Of course I say conversation, but since my saying "hello" was met with an unbroken string of profanity and racial slurs in several different languages that the DM made quite clear was entirely directed at me, there wasn't really much of a dialog going on before I decided to sidle nonchalantly away as hard as I possibly could. Cowardice is the better part of valor!

This show... is lost on me. Is it supposed to be funny? Or am I supposed to be in awe at the fact that there are chicks playing D&D? I'm sadly not impressed with this show... and my friends and I have a riot of a time when we play, which makes this look boring...

Connie and Frankie pickpocketed the waitresses because they work for tips? Connie is a dancer! You'd think she'd sympathize a bit and cut a girl some slack, eh? HARSH! lol

Connie is still my favorite though. Seems like a really nice person :)

In response to some of the opposing viewpoints expressed in this thread regarding show content:

First, if you're not into RPGs then you're probably not going to get this show. I have never seen any of the movies that any of the participants have done. I don't think I would want to at this point, reason being that the way I have come to know of these people is for being a cool bunch of friends being themselves and enjoying playing a game together, and I would like to keep that mind's eye view of them.
That being said, I have asked myself if I would still enjoy this show as much as I do if the participants were not attractive ladies. Probably not. However, here is one of the main factors that I find compelling. These people by virtue of their occupations likely have world views that are very different from most folks. Watching a video of the crew at the local game store playing D&D would probably bore the hell out of me, but that's because I probably have a hell of a lot more in common with those people than I do the ones in IHIWMA. Watching the local crew play wouldn't be interesting because it is essentially very familiar. Watching the crew in IHIWMA is entertaining to me because they're about as far from your "typical" gaming group as you can get. Though, I really like that in IHIWMA they DON'T actually make porn references very often. They simply play the game. Something I found very interesting is when Justine was talking about first being asked to play. Her response was that she was nervous about it because she thought that she might not "be creative enough". Connie also expressed similar anxiety about her first time. Now these are people who by necessity have to be very uninhibited. However, here is a situation that has made them self-conscious. So it's easier for them to dance naked or be filmed having sex than it is to be filmed playing a role playing game? That to me is interesting as hell.

The first guest star, Sasha, seemed to jump right in. I found her to be highly entertaining and really liked her. Justine seemed to be very uncomfortable the whole time she played. That dynamic in and of itself was interesting to me.

It helps a whole lot that the players and DM come off as really nice and cool people. I could totally see hanging out at a bar with any or all of them and shooting the shit for hours. Part of the appeal for me is the genuineness of the show. It's just half a dozen or so interesting friends gaming together. It it were some contrived "Hey let's get a bunch of porn stars to play D&D" and they were a bunch of vapid and cynical bimbos getting naked every five minutes, that would bore the hell out of me.

,Cheers

Uh huh, I'm a dancer and I got solidarity for other tip-earners,
But my character Jinx is a dirty triflin' thief, so she decided to pickpocket the waitress knowing that people who work for tips generally have some cash on them :) I do some more questionable pickpocketing in upcoming episodes...

Thanks for your critique of the show, pretty accurate, I guess, which makes me smile.
