I just bought Modern Warfare 2 today. After a long time of installing it, it kicks me in the balls and says that my graphic card doesn't support vertex shaders 3.0. So I need to get a new graphic card. Any tips on good Nvidia Geforce models?
I think I have two RADEON X850 Series.dbrose said:Well, what card do you have? I have an nVidia 8600 I'm not using, and while it's not the best card for present-day games it is certainly something to consider.
Honestly, though, if you have about $300-$500 to spare, your best bet would be to look into an nVidia 9-series or a GTX 285.
Okay, considering graphics in todays' games I recommend upgrading AT THE VERY LEAST to an nVidia 8600 (again, I have one to spare if you want it), althought a 9-series or 200-series would serve you better. If you want an ATI (and your hardware is compatable), shoot for a 4850 or 4870 like Naturalized recommended.CrazyHaircut94 said:I think I have two RADEON X850 Series.dbrose said:Well, what card do you have? I hear good things about it. Got a recommendation from my brothers, they're giant computer nerds.Insomniactk said:How come you want nVIDIA?
AMD is in the top right now, with the best money/performance cards and has been for the last year and a half
What are the specs of the rest of your system, and how much do you have to spend?CrazyHaircut94 said:I just bought Modern Warfare 2 today.
