Friend and I are looking for a new game to play. Co-op is mandatory. After that, it gets a bit trickier. She loves competition and PvP and all that sort of stuff. She wants the best weapons, the highest stats, et cetera, and then she wants to inflict them on other people. I... do not. I hate PvP, and in EQ1 I leveled my DE SK to level 36 wearing a cloth cap because all the armoured helmets I found made her look stupid. Stats don't matter to me, PvP doesn't matter to me, I play for the enjoyment of playing with other people.
This has made MMORPGs rather hard to settle on. I wouldn't mind suggestions in that field, but I won't hold my breath. If you can suggest some non-MMO RPGs, that'd be great. Though she is a bit of a graphics snob, so Baldur's Gate's re-release is sadly out.
Outside of that, we both enjoy playing Shogun 2 together, and will likely be picking up Rome 2 when it releases.
We've played:
The Secret World (just felt too padded and boring)
League of Legends (i suck, and she's frustrated by my lack of aggression)
Lord of the Rings: War in the North (she hated not having her own character)
Sins of a Solar Empire (fun, but the ai overwhelmed me if we turned it up high enough to give her a challenge)
shogun 2: total war (lots of fun, but we've played it a lot)
Guild Wars 2 (she didn't like it for reasons I don't quite grasp)
The Old Republic (had fun until the story ended, and then my lack of PvP enthusiasm and their lack of content updates did it in for us)
So if you can suggest anything, that'd be really helpful.
