Mention games in front of non-nerds.

I made that mistake once. I was greeted with a bunch of laughter and "SINCE WHEN WERE THEY PUTTING XBOXES IN KITCHENS?"

Yeah, assholes respond to girl gamers with cruelty and cynacism.
Nerds (the nice shy ones) respond to girl gamers in awe.

Frankly, I find girl gamers to be hot.

It would appear to be that I know a LOT of assholes then. Badtimesss.
I have noticed that nice nerds are always quite amazed by it, though, so that's alright.

I still don't understand the mentality that girl gamers are hot though, I'll admit.

Well, it's like this, a girl shares your interest. Which in this case is even rarer as girls tend not to play video games (cool ones anyway).

Then, theres the sort of "this girl can kick my ass, cool!" sort of train of thought, which is why guys tend to like girls wearing army gear. It's not like guys like being emasculated, but we like a girl who can compete with us and sometimes (just sometimes) kick our ass.

Reading the World of Warcraft novels. I've played WoW when it was still a strategy game and while on a roadtrip I saw this WoW novel for 50 cents. Well, I got hooked. They're pretty good.
