Well you shouldn't have a pink pillowcase, makes you look gay, otherwise just get a girlfriend and make sure your parents catch you doing the deed with her

or let your parents catch you milking yourself to lesbian porn.
I don't get it, the whole thing about straight guys having to love seeing lesbians. It doesn't do anything for me at all, and I'm perfectly straight.

I'm honestly sitting here wondering if OP is just a massive troll, surely this has to be a troll right?
That's wot I was thinking, tbh...6 pages, tho. Well done.

In the off-chance that it's not: grow up.
I say that being 30+ years old, a gamer and 20+ year fan of anime (and every other type of animation, tbh), however I work full-time and own a house. In my 20s I was out on my own (or living with a GF depending on which part of my 20s we're talking about ;D).

In the end, it doesn't matter wot yer hobbies are, but if you are living perpetually as a 15-year-old, of course they're not going to take you seriously and/or harp on you for various reasons--they're your parents, that's wot they do.

You're almost 20 ffs. Perhaps in that time you might have learned that when someone takes the piss out of you, the only way to handle it well is to brush it off and laugh along. Grow up, stop sleeping on pillowcases with anime girls on (that look of disgust was both warranted and NOTHING to do with anyone thinking you're gay - he thinks you're pathetic), and stop whining.
Stop trolling.
There's nothing wrong to have a pillow of an anime-girl.
After seeing an image of the pillow, the look is 100% warranted. That's just strange, no guy should have that as his pillow, in his room.
OOoh yes.
Because every guy needs to have a f*cking shotgun named Pamela on their pillow, amirite mr Manly man?
No, you need to have a normal pillow with nothing on it.
Seriously its a fucking pink pillow with a fairy on it.

Is it possible you're just taking shit too seriously? Just because they're your parents doesn't mean they can't rip on you.

On the other hand, this kid is clearly concerned about what other people think about him. Whether those opinions are justified or not is up for debate. Whats important is that they have those opinions, and they are almost uniformly negative.
Really the question is, what does this kid value more, his anime pillow or people's respect?

He doesn't need to conform to some bullshit macho stereotype and start pumping irons and talking about how he likes to beat people up. He just has to get a new pillow case.

My parents think I'm gay too, along with most of my siblings, just roll with it they'll probably start treating you better and be nicer to you.

The only reason they think cause I don't bring many girls to the house. Possibly cause I have too many embaressing stories

And if he wants advice, I think 'grow a pair' is as good as anything else he's going to get. Honestly I can see some of you dispensing 'if he wants a pillow then thats ok' advice and I really don't think thats helpful at all. I mean I'm the nerdiest person I know, I consider myself pretty damn nerdy and I would never in a million years buy or use stuff like that.

I mean can any girls here honestly say that wouldn't be weird if the OP invited them into his room and saw that pillow? HONESTLY? =p
They'd probably like it because it was pink, actually.

Who could say...

Bring a ***** home, fuck her right in front of your parents.

Alternatively, get rid of that pillow, anime pillows are abominations and enough to warrant disgust.

You're a boy and you have a Dora The Explorer schoolbag? Hilarious. You have an anime pillow? Avoid at all costs.

...are you gay? Sorry, but if I was your parents I would think you would be gay until you pulled a lass and had the relationship last for a while so it isn't for show. But still, fair enough its your life, you enhoy what you do and you stick with what you believe, do what the hell you want with it as long as it doesn't bother me or harm anyone.

In all honesty? Talk to them. You sound like you're over-interpreting their actions to the extreme, as your mom was probably being sarcastic and your dad was... well, I really can't say what I think your father was thinking, as if I walked into a guy friend's room and found a pink pillowcase with an anime girl on it he'd be in for no end of griefing from me. If after the discussion they don't change or get worse, then think about moving in with a friend until you can get your own place. And if you are gay, wahoo, if not, yippee. It really shouldn't matter in this day and age.

And in the future, don't expect the Internet to be a big huggy orgy of reassurance. I'm quite surprised that people have been as considerate here as they have.

Speaking as the proud owner of a hooha, I'd make fun of him for it. But if I really cared about him I'd throw it in the corner of the room or in the closet when I was there just so random oh-so-kawaii! girl isn't staring at me.

Your parents are not bad parents. Bad parents are women who kick out their sons to live on the street at 15 years old because he told her to make a choice between her abusive partner and him, she chose the abusive partner (seriously, this happened, not to me but to a friend.)

It seems to me like you haven't grown up yet, or at least haven't grown a spine capable of standing up against your parents yet. It's not the easiest thing to do granted, but there comes a time when every guy pretty much has to tell his parents "Look, I'm an adult now, stop treating me like a child or fuck off".

Saying that however, they haven't seem to have done anything to warrant such an outburst. Not everyone likes anime. I don't. I've tried to watch it, just can't enjoy it. It's not about what's on the pillow, it's the fact that as an adult you are using a pillow case witch a picture of a fictional character on it. You could make a pillow case with Kharn the Betrayer bathed in blood yelling "BURN, MAIM, KILL!" and it still wouldn't make a difference, that sort of stuff is supposed to stop around 14.

Secondly, your mum made some jokes. I refuse to watch reality tv, my mum loves it, she winds me up about it. I then wind her up back, usually along the lines of "It's a sad day when the only thing you consider worthwhile involves pretty colours and a phone in vote!" It's all in jest, we don't think any less of each other for it.

Ultimately, everyone thinks they are correct in their own minds. You see nothing wrong with the pillow and you take offense at people making jokes. Whether that means you have maturity issues or not, you're not going to change because some people on the internet tell you to. Infact you're probably looking for validation more than anything, which probably means you do sense there might be something wrong with you, because you felt the need to ask the question to see how many rallied around you and tell you that you are correct.

Life for the most part is having to stand up on your own though. Like everything else, this is something only you can put right, whichever way is best for you.
