ICP's "Juggalos". Will someone explain this to me?

What makes someone a Juggalo? What is the concept of the Juggalos? What I've heard so far makes it sound like a cult. I've also heard that it's a lifestyle choice, WTF? Anyway, from what I've seen, it just looks like a bunch of white kids that paint their faces like clowns and listen to mediocre rap by a few other clown-esque people. Will someone with knowledge in the matter please explain to me exactly what a Juggalo is?

"Juggalo" just means someone who likes ICP. It doesn't really mean anything else apart from that. It was just invented by the band as a fan thing and a way to give fans a way to get into the band beyond listening to the music. It's very similar to the concept of the Kiss Army, and just like the Kiss Army there is the notion (more often implied rather than directly stated) that people are being derided or persecuted for listening to ICP so they have to stick together in the "Juggalo family", which really just means a community of people who buy ICP music. It's a good little marketing strategy and it works. There's nothing more to it than that, at the end of the day ICP are just really good at marketing to their target audience.

They're certainly a lot better at marketing than music-making. Personally I think ICP's music is pretty mediocre, with generally average beats and unsophisticated, uninteresting lyrics. I'd rather listen to Necro which is kind of like ICP done properly with better beats, actual mic skills, and without all the "we are family" bullshit hypocritical pseudo-Christianity.

In summary, it's not a cult, it's just a bunch of kids being ripped off by buying shitty music. And what defines a Juggalo is (in reality, despite what anyone else says including the band) their willingness to waste their money on ICP CDs, live shows and merchandise.

Generally they're stupid white trash kids. They range the gauntlet from people who simply like the music (and maybe make fun of it themselves), to people who will try to fight you for ripping on them. They like typical white trash activities like wrestling, fucking fat chicks (with face paint), having kids in high school *shudders*, or trying to be har'core gangstas that will stab yo ***** ass. It's like if the KISS Army (fans of another shitty band) had sex with an entire trailer park.

You can usually find them based on smell, Tripp pants, stupid hair, and the sounds of retards moaning in the distance.
