If you could have any fictional vehicle, what would it be?

I always found it odd that everyone seems to have an easier time piloting it than the Doctor since they presumably have to learn how to pilot it from the Doctor.
Indeed. But it does support the "The Doctor is the problem" hypothesis. I'd say the TARDIS hates him, but we now know otherwise.

No, no it is not.

It is a classic :)
At least you're not piloting it "ironically."

Yeah I can make all those ships and more with this.
I mean common this thing could rival the death star if it wanted to or even make it.

I'd go with the ME262 HGIII. It's not entirely fictional I suppose, there were blue prints made on paper, but I don't think a frame was ever built. It looks like a pretty cool sleek modern aircraft which is quite remarkable since its design was proposed during World War 2. If the war had went on for another year it is quite possible that this would have entered into production.

Well, my pick would have been the Lexx

It's basically a biological ship with a main cannon that can take out a planet, and can reproduce with Dragonflies...

But it's really looking outclassed by that Ryo-Ohki thing. I'd probably have to go otaku and choose that.

I've wanted this bike since I was a wee nine year old girl. Want it. WANT IT.

Second runner up?

Spaceships. I want one.

HOW DARE YOU. my penis extension will blot out the sun!

Ot: very well then, If I must have something more practical.

It's bigger than that, obv., but smaller than a Superduper Star Destryer. nice character to it, it looks like a nice stylized little city.

Uh... okay then. I have no idea how that is a vehicle (or why you would have sex with it).

As for the question, I wouldn't mind an airship or blimp. Specifically a steampunk style one.

I really like this style for air transport. It's a shame they didn't work out in real life, I think they're damn cool.
That's Ryo-Ohki from Tenchi Muyo. She's a space rabbit that can turn into a spaceship &\or a girl.

OT: I'm gonna be generic and say the Batmobile.

A Squid though?
I considered them, and I'd have to go with a Pyramidion or a Galleon.

Of course I want a Helicarrier, and to me I want a HUGE flying ship to use as my transport and base of operations.
Squid is shrimpy, has a weird layout, not a lot of space, is super fragile, and very lightly armed....

Pyramidion is much sturdier, has a really nice layout, an upstairs balcony area, huge open space, and is much more sheltered from the sun with its much bigger armored balloon. Plus it's waaaaaaaaay deadlier.

And then there's the Galleon. The biggest, sturdiest, deadliest ship. It's practically a 3 story house. HUGE main deck, very nearly truly indoor gun deck, nearly indoor engine room, a large upper navigation deck, and even a fairly good sized lookout platform.

I'll grant you the Pyramidion and Galleon don't look as elegant and dramatic as the little Squid, but if that's what you're going for, then AT LEAST get a Goldfish? It still has a nice layout and some decent space.

Because she's a cabbit(cat-rabbit), and can turn into a huge super-deadly battleship:

All of the listed ships are cool and all, but I would prefer the Silver Surfer's Board. Mostly because I would need to be the Silver Surfer to own/operate it. ^_^

Really stretching the definition of vehicle here, but I got to go with the Death Star... it totally counts. Otherwise, the Normandy SR-2, just cause it looks sleek as hell and is badass.

Well, I WAS gonna post pictures, but as the site and the browser are being shits, here are my additions:

-The Afterburner- ZZ Top's '33 Ford 'Eliminator' Coupe turned spaceship. I'll take their space station too, as seen in their 'Burger Man' video. Crew included, of course.
-The Yellow Submarine- it was good enough for The Beatles, it'll be good enough for me.
-The Mach 5- Either the original car or one of the more detailed interpretations.
-The Thundertank- I'll take the one that looks like it will enjoy your destruction.
-The Burton Batmobile- I don't care if it isn't the flashiest, or biggest, go look at it!
-Mass Effect's Mako Tank- For the times something simply has to die.

So I'm going with the Epoch from Chrono Trigger. I'd say the TARDIS, but I imagine the Epoch is easier to pilot.
At one point the character Leela was able to pilot it for a "short" trip. (Only inerplanetary, not interstellar.) Leela had a high native intelligence but was had almost no experience of technology. If she could do it, I'm betting most here who are answering TARDIS could as well.

BtW, I'd also go for a Type 40 TARDIS, with fully functional chameleon circuit for preference.
With the chameleon circuit you could make the ship's exterior in to most of the other ships mentioned in this thread. Although the interior would remain the same.
Well I also didn't want to be predictable.

BTW, I'm no expert, but I'm pretty sure the chameleon circuit doesn't work that way. I don't know much about it, but I think it's suppose to change the exterior based on where it lands, not let the user customize the exterior. I could be wrong though.
The Master programmed his constantly, including one time making it look like a Concorde jet specifically so he could materialize it around a real Concorde.
There's a scene of the Doctor showing Adric the controls that manually control the shape that the chameleon circuit changes the exterior to.
But yes, there is an auto-function that has the ship scan the area and pick a shape based on it's findings. That's actually how the Doctor's TARDIS came to be in the Police Box shape... the Doctor and Susan wouldn't even have known what a police box was.

Ok I stand corrected. I haven't seen much of the "classic" series as Netfix's selection is very limited.

Nakiami's vehicle from Bounen no Xamdou.

It always reminded me of some sort of flying motorcycle, which would probably be one of the coolest things ever.

If not that, I'd probably go for one of the Interceptors from EVE Online. Because why not explore the universe at a warp speed of 8 AU/s?

Exalted's Five Metal Shirke.

1. Can stay in the air forever.
2. Invincible shielding.
3. Regenerates in the event that it's hit when shielding is down.
4. Supersonic speeds.
5. Can be piloted by just one. If anyone aside from its owner tries, they get melted by internal plasma jets that don't damage the ship itself.
6. Cozy.
7. Secondary weapons are infinite-use plasma blasts.
8. Primary gun obliterates anything that is not literally invulnerable, up to mountain sizes. Can recharge in minutes.
9. Some other stuff I'm forgetting.
