If you had a time machine that could take you back in time, where would you visit? The possibilties are endless.

Personally, I'd go back before I was born, when my grandma died. The stories I hear about her really make me wish I could've met her.

I reckon this has done before but, I'd go back to the time of the Renaissance. It'd be inspiring to live in a time of such culture and change.

Ancient Greece
The Babylonian Wars
1920's Chicago
The 1950's (one of America's greatest generations)

I'd also love to check out the concert which birthed Iron Maiden's "Live After Death" album.

I'd probably go back to when my parents were kids :) Just to meet them without them knowing who I actually was. Would be rather weird.

Three stops really

First- The future where nanotechnology has reached the point where a human beings life can be extended for a good 60 years. Also take a number of technologies

Second- Ancient Babylon and learn the wonders of the ancient world first hand as an ambassador for the city. Remember to stash technology somewhere where it won't be found

Third-A point in Time where the ancient world as we knew it i.e Greeks, Romans, Persians did not exist and use ancient ideals, modern day thinking and the future's technology in order to reconstruct the world into my personal Utopia

This should really just be called 'What do you want to change about your life?', making it about time travel adds redundancy.

eg. I want to win heaps of lotteries / own == I want to be rich.

EDIT: Realised legitimate reasons to go back in time.

The secret to time travel is that you can't change what you set out to. That creates a time paradox. But, if you plan to do one thing but somehow you come across something else you want to change, that could work out.

Well, we must all keep in mind the "Grandfather Paradox". One goes back in time and accidently kills his grandfather, which prevents him from being born, which prevents him from going back in time and killing his grandfather in the first place. So, he couldn't have done it, so his grandfather wouldn't have died, so he would be born... ect.

At any rate, I'd go back to the late Jurassic Period to see what the dinosaurs really looked like and hopefully a glimpse of what ended them before rushing back to tell everyone about it.

I would go into the past to America trade all of the gold there for beads and other worthless crap than time travel that gold into the future and sell it to life as a king because gold would be worth obnoxiously much seeing as i had robed the worth of about a third of it :p.

I'd go back in time and tell the world about condoms at the earliest feasible moment. Put a stop to AIDs, etc and provide the world with a whole lot more sex. Hehe.
