I'm not going to lie. I adored Fable 2. But I didn't want to...

I ignored the hype-train for that game. I didn't except anything amazing, but what I got, I loved.

I had ZERO EXPECTATIONS for that game, and enjoyed it through its highs and lows.

What do you think of Fable 2, if you ignored the hype?

I largely ignored the hype and I enjoyed it a lot. Was far too short though.

I enjoyed even with all of they hype.
Without the hype I would of been estatic, seeing as I wouldn't of heard something about "Great Co-op"

i liked it. a little short and probably the most anti-climactic ending of all time, but it was a good game

Pretty much all I knew about Fable 2 when it came out is that there were guns and a dog, and I did enjoy the game, so yes.

I new nothing about Fable 2 going into it having never played Fable 1, and I really did enjoy it a lot. Though when I went back to play Fable 1 it's a much better game.

I had low expectations for it and was still underwhelmed. I give Peter Molyneaux a big ol' Meh out of ten.

Had no expectations, played it a while after released, It was a huge downfall from Fable. I don't know how they could fuck up a sequel to such a basic game, they took most of the good parts of the game out of it for no reason.

Yes I did enjoy it when I didn't listen to the hype.
It was one of the most games I've played. It had some of the greatest humor I've seen in a game. Every item had a funny description.

But then again anyone who listened Peter Moleneux were only setting themselves up for disappointment.

I'd go in depth of why I loved it, but I already did that here [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/forums/read/326.126128-For-my-1000th-post-a-Fable-2-Review-Yes-there-will-be-spoilers].

I enjoyed the first, I played the second, only read a few bits here and there, and enjoyed it a lot. So no it didn't disappoint.

i enjoyed the first one more, but the 2nd one wasn't bad, i dont know what exactly it was lacking, it just lacked what the first game had, and yes it was too short..especially the horrid end battle, WTF? i went through all of that just to have that happen.

Exactly - that co-op needed to be better. What's with not being able to use your own character in someone elses game??!??!

Still a great game though.

I enjoyed Fable, one of my most played xbox games, so I was looking forward to Fable II. Ignoring Molyneux I found FII enjoyable, not as good as the original but enough to warrant my money.

Looking forawrd to Fable 3, which I think is being released Octoberish. Good times :)

This. My friend is a pretty huge fan of Fable and basically talked me into getting it. It's lots of fun, but is way too short, and I made the mistake of getting it before some of the story-breaking bugs were fixed, which meant I poured about 6 hours into a character only to be forced to restart.

It sucked.
The freedom was flimsy, the amount of stuff to do/collect laughably small and the story lame.
I even liked part one better.

I borrowed it from a friend, having not played the first one at all, and not giving a shit about the hype, and I wasn't all that impressed... Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed it for the most part; it was just kinda boring, short, and waaaaaaaaaaaay too easy. I will give the 3rd one a shot, but I am not expecting anything more than a pleasant diversion.

I enjoyed it quite a bit. You've just got to learn not to listen to a thing that comes out of molyneux's mouth. Got to admire him for getting so into what he does though I wish I could be that excited about work.
