Speaking as a proponent of video games being cathartic, Hotline Miami is definitely a game you play to see how everyday objects can become murdering tools. In-game, you get masked for doing well in the levels, with each mask having a different effect on the core gameplay. Our question to you is which mask do you think is the best? It can be based on effect, design or name so inform us away!

For pretty much the entire game, my go-to mask was Don Juan. Lethal doors? Yes please. That was definitely my preferred method of taking down as many people as possible.

Yeah that one.
Though it's very jarring to go from Hotline "super mad punchy fun time" Miami to the boss fights or stealth sections.

There's something both useful and hilarious about making any thrown object lethal. I've thrown away empty guns, only for them to barely graze a guy and wipe him out. I think I completed one chapter only by lobbing shotguns at people.

I also completed as much of the game as was possible with Tony. There's something awesome about completing a level full of gun-toting goons with nothing other than your tiger-striped fists of fury. They're grrrrrrrrrrreat!

I'm not sure. I used Don Juan lot because you got him early, sometimes I used Tony if the level had dogs or was sparse on starting weapons, sometimes I went Jake to spice combos up, sometimes I used Rami because extra ammo is really helpful when stealth fails or I get mad.

I think I used Don Juan the most because it was available so early though.

It turns you into a close quarters monster. I never had to bother with melee weapons after I unlocked it.

Because I hated those damned dogs and this made them super easy to kill.
I still can't believe how much fun this game was. Bring on #2!
