Could you point to me where this main said that "Graphics are the reason why InFamous 2 can't be on 360"?Sh0ckFyre said:"The Xbox can't handle such complex games"...
...Yet it can handle Crysis 2. WHERE'S THE LOGIC HERE.
Also, since when the fuck did graphics make a game. Honestly, Call of Duty 4 looked like rusty shit on a green platter. Hell, the original Metal Gear Solid from before 2000 holds up well today. Borderlands has a cartoon-like and non-revolutionizing graphics. Give or take DirectX 9, Bad Company 2 doesn't look anything special either, and let's not forget Resident Evil 5.
Also, if the fucking 3DS can handle graphics of Metal Gear Solid 4's caliber, I'm pretty sure the Xbox can handle PS3-specific games, given the right amount of optimization.
Specialized computers are more expensive than mass produced things, it's the same as scientists and clinics taking apart Wii devices because normally the specialized censors used in the balance board would cost a lot more to produce by hand in a small factory by specialists, but through the wonders of mass production they can be pumped out much much cheaper by nintendo.Korten12 said:um... if that was the reason they wouldnt have bought ps3's... >.> they would have bought linux computers...zakski said:No they bought them because the original ps3s had the other os feature so that you can run linux on it.Vaccine said:Remember the Air Force buying a shitton of PS3s for processing power?, they didn't buy 360's for processing power.
I'd rethink that statement, lol.
not into L4D, hate Halo, not interested in Gears, ME an ME 2, i could get on Steam if i wanted to play them ( PC version is the only version i'd consider due to modding capability :3 ), and i own the PS3 version of prototype, which is disqualified as it not a 360 exclusive and never has been :3. exclusives only dear, that what i wanna hearHG131 said:All Halos, the Gears of War games, Prototype, Mass Effect, Mass Effect 2, and a bunch more. So, now what?Kitsuna10060 said:really? like what -.- as I've yet to hear of anything GOOD on the 360 that i can't get on my PS3, no seriously, i want a list.mjc0961 said:The only reason it wouldn't be on 360 is because the 360 has so many more and so many higher quality third person shooters that it doesn't need your drivel.
EDIT: While they're also on the PC, I'd like to see you get L4D/L4D2 on the PS3 (I know they're on the PC as well, I'm just saying that they AREN'T on the PS3).
I think that was because they could install linux on them.Vaccine said:Remember the Air Force buying a shitton of PS3s for processing power?, they didn't buy 360's for processing power. The Austin said:I officially call bullshit.
I'm no scientist, but I'm pretty damn sure that the Xbox and the PS3 can both handle the exact same things.
Next time, I hope they just say, "Yeah, screw Xbox, we like PS3 more."
I'd rethink that statement, lol.
they never said graphics they were talking about the power of the engine, to make it run faster, better, put more enemies onscreen, have more environment on screen, graphics too to an extent, but not graphics themselves, it influences the whole experience.Booze Zombie said:Because graphics equal substance, right?
Come on devs, stop thinking graphics mean shit, people practically blew drug dealers to get Modern Warfare 2 and it looked like a game from 2005.
Not that I'm saying I liked MW2 personally, but it certainly didn't sell on graphics.
precisely people just free associate graphics with the ps3 not the processing which is the real point that suckerpunch is making.Jumplion said:Could you point to me where this main said that "Graphics are the reason why InFamous 2 can't be on 360"?Sh0ckFyre said:"The Xbox can't handle such complex games"...

Processing Power =/= Graphical power, it does so much more than just graphics.
As for Crysis 2, different optimization with different hardware. From what I've seen/heard, Crysis 2 on consoles is apparently nothing like the Crysis on the PC, with significant cutbacks on the technology from the original just to squeeze it in on the consoles.
EDIT: And MGS4 graphics on 3DS? Where the hell did you hear that? MGS4 was 1080p with no compression of files filling up the entire Blu-ray disk (about 25GB I think? Don't take my word on that), where the hell did you get that tid-bit of info?
You're obviously forgetting that both those games looked stunning at the time.zombays said:"OMG!!!111!!! GRAPHICS MAKE A GAME!", Sucker Punch studios on inFamous 2. Anyone remember Ocarina of Time and Half-life?
I didn't see any mention of graphics in the statement, why would you task a processor with game code if it's for graphics anyway?Booze Zombie said:Because graphics equal substance, right?

I saw it on Nintendo's website, and HIDEO KOJIMA HIMSELF, said that they are creating a game with visuals that are up there with Playstation 3 quality.Jumplion said:Could you point to me where this main said that "Graphics are the reason why InFamous 2 can't be on 360"?Sh0ckFyre said:"The Xbox can't handle such complex games"...

I wouldn't, the PS3 has marginally better processing power. MARGINALLY.Vaccine said:Remember the Air Force buying a shitton of PS3s for processing power?, they didn't buy 360's for processing power. The Austin said:I officially call bullshit.
