Oh my God I love that avatar. I hated Shinn with a burning passion and seeing him get decked over and over and over again brings a giddy smile to my face.

I have nothing really to add to this conversation, other than the fact that I hope Activision loses because I'd really like to see them stop their sleazy business practices and hopefully the lawsuit might accomplish that (though it probably wouldn't).

Conflicted. If West and Zampanella (spelling?) get what they deserve, then Activision will shrivel up and die, but I'm still waiting for Prototype 2.

I hope Kotick is publicly embarrassed and resigns after this, but in all fairness he was doing exactly what he was brought into the company to do. He cuts every corner, trims all that "artistic integrity" bullshit and leaves only a bare-bones perpetual money/sequel machine; exactly what the investors wanted in the first place. If they wanted to support artistic merit, they would've invested in Doublefine or something.

EA wanted to do the same, but after seeing the potential of small, original games, at least they're willing to invest in some original ideas as long as they look profitable. It's just too bad that instead of having an open call for indie and casual developers, they just dropped a $300 million dollar deuce and bought an existing company(playfish i think?).

Basically, the CEO of acti-blizz is a guy called Bobby Kotick, and boy is he a dick.

Exactly, this guy would completely ruin video games if given the chance. Seriously, this dick probably has a golden toliet since he ego is so big(has to have a big ego to even suggest what he has) and he looooooooooves money. Now on the my reaction for the IW...Oh heeellz yes! Show big business they can't get away with anything they want. You agree to something you pay the damn piper when the time comes! No love for activision but I hope if activision gets rickrolled, blizzard can unmerge with them so they don't suffer.

They are the aliens from Independence Day. No joke, their business model is the same as the plot of a the antagonists from a summer blockbuster from what? 1998?

They move from franchise to franchise, sucking it dry until it's dead. Then they move onto the next cash cow.

We already saw it happen with Guitar Hero, we're seeing it happen right now with Call of Duty. Believe it or not, that franchise can be killed and I wouldn't be too shocked if the end is all that nigh, with the yearly release thing they're trying to pull along with CoD: Elite.

If only Blizzard would go ahead and jump ship, that'd be that.
