not even, reskin the kids green and replace their sound files with erhhhhhhggggggggg, and it would be considered a competent hl2 zombie modAlon Shechter said:Oh for fuck's sake.
I bet somewhere in the world, someone has a family member that died in a shooting at some street. GTA is still existing though!
I bet somewhere in the world, someone has a family member that died in a one of the many wars that video games are based on. There are still video games about war!
I bet somewhere in the world, someone has a family member that got BACKSTABBED, and TF2 is still there!
What makes this any different?
How is this more horrid than, say, GTA?
Because we kill children, not adults?
That comes under owning child porn, and would be classified as illegal. This isn't illegal.Quaidis said:I wonder what they'll come up with next. Maybe an M rated, graphic baby-raping Pedophile simulator. It isn't about giving Pedophiles a means of practice for real life horrors, it's all for fun and points! Why not? We haven't done it yet. And it's not like real life victims will matter; they just will never understand that a game is a game.
because the tragedy is now relatable, and not just zombies, or forignersCommunist partisan said:It seriously sounds like.... fun, I have waiting for this moment for ages, being able to kill kids, in game of course and I find the hole point very amusing, I want this... now.
And why does everybody think they crossed the line?
Not if I made them CGI render. That's artistic license and protected. Just ask anyone who has lolicon art. Would you like to counter his argument again or are you going to just give him the green light on his arcade style baby raping game?dogstile said:That comes under owning child porn, and would be classified as illegal. Lolicon is actually illegal in America. My point stands.Joshic Shin said:Not if I made them CGI render. That's artistic license and protected. Just ask anyone who has lolicon art. This. Seriously if I kid plays this and somewhat sees the reality of what would happen if he did it (e.g. the end part of choosing between suicide and being in prison for the rest of your life) and stopped him, this game would have saved lives.Pielikey said:As bad as the mod is, I would rather some kid play this and shoot up a virtual school than they actually shoot up a real school.
There is a big difference between advancing an art form with risks (like say Bioshock, Amnesia, Today I Die, or other out there games) and doing snuff work. This game decidedly falls into the latter camp. This will not make the gaming industry look more serious, this will make the gaming industry look like a place where seriousness is not taken at all, and that's at best.Popido said:Splendid! Good to see some people actually trying to push the limits of what can be shown and what can be seen. Take it as an horror if you will. Risks are what this art form needs if it wishes to be taken seriously.
On serious note. There are better mods that dont just look like Garry's Mod.
