What it says on the title! Who are the most intelligent characters in video games? :D

I think Bentley from the Sly Cooper series. He makes most of the plans and made a sick wheelchair loaded with all sorts of gadgets in it!! :D

Emma and Alisa from Front Mission 3, although, I'm not sure if they count, since they are genetically engineered to be super-intelligent. But, for what it's worth, by the age of 18 both of them graduated from college and became lead military scientists.

Well I have to mention Naoto in Persona 4. Her efforts on solving the case gave the Investigation Team so much traction so quickly because y'know is actually a detective.

Also she has a sweet hat and an awesome voice. We all know I can't resist women in sweet hats.

For what it is worth, as killjoy as she is, her IQ is not actually 2000.

Yeah as sad as that may be, 2000 is like God Tier IQ right? The crazy subtitles take a main aspect of a character and blows it way out of proportion and since Naoto is officially "the smart one" they jumped on the first catchy thing that would make her look smart.

I like how she doesn't even mention the first part at all when she hears it. She takes offense to killjoy and takes 2000 IQ in stride

"Killjoy?! I'm not THAT bad am I?!"

Anyone remember the club scene in Persona 4? Where she takes a dare centred drinking game into a chance to find out about the case... The music even changed from club music to the usual discussion of the case music.

Yeah pretty damn accurate.

The Emmerich Family, from the Metal Gear Series. I mean, who else do you know that's developed atom bombs, giant robots, walking leg chassis for their crippled legs, stairs-capable wheelchairs, tiny robots, and various forms of camouflage?

To this day my deepest regret is that I was already dating Yukiko when Naoto's social link became avaliable.
The second is that we never found out her breast measurements. Why do you tease us so Atlus!

I would have to say both Marcus and Mr. House from Fallout New Vegas. Mr. House may well be an actual Artificial Intelligence, in which I guess he basically is at this point since his physical body is messed up.

I know, I was the same with Chie... The bastards introduce her into the game under the guise of a male character then suddenly BOOM NEW ROMANCE OPTION! HA! YOU FOOLS!

Got my options decidedly open in my newest playthrough just for Naoto :3, except somewhere along the line I must have drunk some bleach or something because I picked up my playthrough again after a few weeks hiatus (I must have ragequit because my save was at the boss door without the key item to get in :/) I opened the S. Link screen to remind myself and apparently I was going out with "Who wants to help me overcome my self-esteem issues?" Ayane... Oh man, what? I am still shocked at myself for such a grievous error...

My dog must have pressed the button without me noticing. Yeah. Gonna go with that.

Dayamn straight, though I was never interested romantically. More like an awkwardly adorable sibling. She was a permanent addition to my party once she joined though, which I'm told is fairly rare since she's so late-game. I mean come on, all death skills and all non-elemental skills, plus magic boosting action? Cold blooded killer.

I haven't played much with her yet, but Elizabeth from Bioshock Infinite is quickly fitting the bill.

GLaDOS from Portal, a giant robot who continuously kidnaps people for experiments all in the name of science (and cake)

Pretty much anyone written by Hideo Kojima. The man needs to learn when to shut the fuck up, but he creates incredibly compelling characters with complex motives and rationale leagues above what we see most of the time in mainstream gaming.

The Boss is still one of my favourite characters of all time, not to mention a fantastic benchmark for female characters in gaming.

Also, just in case that all came across a bit fanboy, it's worth noting that the only MGS game I've ever finished is the first one; I prefer to watch LP's and just enjoy the story/watching people who don't get caught every five seconds.

The Nameless One and the protagonists from Neverwinter Nights 2 and the expansion to the same, the Exile from KOTOR 2 and Micheal Thorton from Alpha Protocol.
Any game that has Chris Avellone in the lead writer's chair tends to yield a player-controlled character who manages to be at least reasonably intelligent, if not possessed of a superior intellect. Anytime I approach a game with his name on it, I know that I can expect to have a character whom I can direct but who will still manage to not be a thorough twat with no recourse beyond being a reactionary party to the events that unfold around him (or her!).

Kreia and Dakkan. Also, a bunch of characters from The Witcher 2.
The only truly intelligent character from that game is Letho. Everyone else is a drooling simpleton by contrast. Everyone.

What about Radovid or Philipa? But ya, Letho is like a genius.
The Nilfgaardians are pretty smart, the whole thing was their idea.
Can you include Geralt? He is pretty smart.
