It's downright tragic they missed the whole "Harry Potter" craze. They could have worked out a licensing agreement and called it "Wizard's Chess".

Why would anyone want to do that?

Oh awesome!!! I wasn't very good at chess (still kinda suck actually), but Battle Chess always made chess fun. I'll definitely be looking forward to this.
Too bad the rook turned into a fat guy, though, he's supposed to be a golem...

Man I loved it on my Amiga 500; even with having to switch discs almost every time you took a piece for the animations.

Pity I don't have an iPhone, or any kind of phone that supports all that stuff.

I loved battle chess even though i'm a terrible chess player. I hope they do an android version. I'd pay a few bucks for it to help keep me entertained while traveling.
