Several threads and discussions I've seen/heard lately about religions and the internet seems to tangent back to discussions of the more visible activities of these folks...
There was another thread about video games ( and thus, to an extent, by extension, "Geek Culture" ) being anti-religion : someone asked me if I thought these incidents were more about this than about the allegations that Scientology is part of a "conspiracy" to control the internet ( I don't yet know enough to intelligently opine on this issue; if anyone does, please inform me - still researching links ).
In any case, the jokes about "Eriss" as the patron goddess of the mock-religion, Discordian Society, regarding trolling, led naturally to a discussion of 4chan, which to be honest, I never paid much attention to.
Can anyone shed light on whether either 4chan or Anonymous has avowed any connection to the Discordian Society?
