Lately I've been paying alittle attention to banner ads, and the other ads, something I've noticed on every site I've been to, except for this one, every page has an ad for those Vimax pills, which makes me think the internet wants me to think of large penises.

Anyone else notice this and creeped by it?

A lot of ads are creepy - ads that proclaim "Let us help you have an affair!" for instance.

It's just something you get over.
Or, you snap and eat people.
You have to snap to do that?
Really?
And it might be a big conspiracy.
All the porn sites have congregated to make this master plan.
If you're thinking about penises all day, then what's the usual followup thought?
You got it!

Or maybe they're just a new product, and the company is trying very hard to get the word out about their stuff.

What ads offer that?! Ive never seen any of those.
You haven't seen any of those? It's really weird, like "married women looking for sex" or some bullshit like that. I don't pay much attention.

Yes, especially those Look who's searching for your profile ads on myspace.

They have those weird pictures of people smiling o_O

They remind me of hobos with shanks..

The internet wants you to think about a lot of things that should not be thought about. For instance, I was on the Cheezburger network once and I noticed an ad that showed a mousy 43-year-old woman going on some dating site with an avatar that looked like a cougar, turning down some ugly avatar guys who were all like, "hey, sezzeh!" and then dancing passionately with a really hot avatar (who could be just as ugly as her in real life, for all anyone knows). It was SO creepy. o.o

I saw an advert that said I should have breast enlargements because a Big Brother contestant who had faded back into a life of selling kiss and tell stories to the Sun had got their breasts enlarged.

That was pretty odd.

Interesting, god that would be a blow to your ego there. So how did your wife leave you? Through an internet ad...then comes the suicide.
You missed a few steps

1. Wife leaves you
2. Reveal to friend it was over an internet ad
3. Shotgun her and other man in the face
4. Suicide
5. ????
6. PROFIT

I think the creepiest and funniest banner ad I ever saw was right here on the Escapist, during a debate about gay marriage.

The debate was going pretty well apart from the bad stereotype of a promiscuous gay man which popped up in the corner of the screen, advertising a gay dating site called Man Central.
