Hi, again. So, I finished watching a playthrough of Infamous: Second Son. And I want to know: do you think Delsin is a good character, as in a three dimensional fully fleshed out human being that goes through a character arc?
I ask this because, I've always been fond of the delinquent archetype and I want to know what makes it effective. In the past, I've loved Yusuke Urameshi from Yu Yu Hakusho and wanted to see more characters like him.
I'm wondering if Delsin is that character or he's just being cool for the sake of being cool and appealing to the target demographic. I liked the relationship between Delsin and his cop brother and the fact that Delsin was voiced by Troy Baker. But, I'm not sure where the fine balance is between developing a mature character comes from while maintaining an immature image. For example, what separates the Delsins from the DMC Dante's, otherwise known as 'Donte', of the world?
The other method would be to mature the character completely, such as with Kanji Tatsumi (also voiced by Troy Baker) and have the character throw away the immaturity.
So, is Delsin a good character?
