Is it wierd that i find the senran kagura games fun?

I mean they have some of the most uncomfortable fanservice i have seen and there pretty much only made to show boobs

but good god are they fun to play they might not be amazing and there are better hack n slash games out there(bayonetta) but there fast paced and fun to play and killing a load of enemies on one screen is always satisfying plus they give you a pretty decent cast of chars to play with as games go on

hell even the fanservice grew on me after playing it I still find it unconformable yes but not as uncomfortable as i once did and im used to it

so is it weird that i find this series fun? because by rights i shouldn't like this game atall (i dont care for other fanservice anime games like hyperdimension neptunia for example but for some reason there legitimately fun to play

what do you think and what are your thoughts on this series of games are they just jiggly boobs or is there alot more to them then they are letting on?

compile hearts biggest issue for me isnt so much the fanservice as it is more copy and paste

atleast with senran i can tell the games apart(burst and shinovi versus while having the same gameplay elements play alot differently)

with compile hearts games they all play the same with some minor tweeks hell the only compile game that looks decent is maybe sorcery saga for the vita

Yeah, when I bash Compile Heart, I'm usually talking about gameplay much more than any fanservice-y subject matter that pops up in their games. I'm not much into the heavy fanservice-y games in general but they've never been something I've taken issue with.

Yeah, when I bash Compile Heart, I'm usually talking about gameplay much more than any fanservice-y subject matter that pops up in their games. I'm not much into the heavy fanservice-y games in general but they've never been something I've taken issue with.

yeah honestly i feel compile come off as very lazy

they have good ideas but they fall so short when they copy the same enemy designs,level layouts and gameplay over and over again

There's really no reason to feel bad about enjoying a game. It doesn't hurt anyone that you like Senran Kagura.

Since this question gets asked and answered on a weekly basis on these forums, how about some added discussion value? Shall we discuss who is objectively the best SK? Obviously it's Asuka. There is no other option.

Maybe its just me, but those games play like clunky as shit poor man's action games, but then again I'm kind of picky about the genre and anything less than DMC 3 or Bayonetta quality just doesn't feel right in my hands.

As for liking a fanservice game, meh, if you like the gameplay and aren't playing the games on public transport then its fine, if you start to feel the need to post constant topics about how much you love big breasted anime women, then it might be time to dial back the enthusiasm a little bit.

id say play shonovi versus since it fixes alot of the issues with the 3ds one but its on the vita and we all know how well the vita says *sarcasm*

and no i find it stupid to play a game just because theres boobs in it i only like a game if i enjoy the gameplay in it(which is why i dont like Hyperdimension Neptunia )

Yeah, have a 3ds but not a vita, so I'm out of luck there, for me, I stopped really paying attentions to the japanese fanservice games like this for two reasons.

1. I'm old enough that most of these games make me feel like a pervy old man now, mostly applies to the high school setting fan service, it feels a little gross to wag my tongue at girls that are half to a third of my own age.

2. I work with vulnerable populations, including kids in high school, so getting caught playing a game like that would at the least come off as unprofessional, as it feels too much like perving on my clients.

i think ure first statement depends on whio the person is

some people find the over the top fanservicy games charming while others find it facepalm worthy

as for the pervy old men thing thats debatable because not all people are gonna play it for that reason

Who knows depends on who you ask but honestly I dont care if people like what games I like. When I play a game if I enjoy it that is all that matters someone else may think I am weird for liking it or that the game is trash but im not playing for them only me and I care little about perpetuating an image because that is just not my thing.

I have not played any Senran Kagura games but will be getting Estival Vs when it is localised to try it out as it looks kinda fun but whether I will enjoy it I cannot tell as of yet. I have seen some of the anime and its trash but not terrible basically just switch of your brain and enjoy so kinda like most TV I suppose.

I still need to buy Shinobi... And Compile Hearts is hit and miss (granted usually more miss than hit), but they had some good games, and mechanically speaking (before they started abusing Mk2 battle system) they had some interesting ideas that usually were underutilized.

Isn't Senran Kagura a beat-em-up with T-n-A that comes from costume degradation similar to Arkham or AS-M costume degradation...only sexier? Because that sounds like a lot of fun to me too. I haven't picked up Double D yet and I refuse to download the other one but it looks like a ton of fun to me.

I bought Senran Kagura Shinovi Versus on the Vita out of sheer curiosity. I'd never played any heavily fanservicey games before (well, I suppose DOA counts but I think the gameplay in DOA is a lot of fun). I really just don't get it. If I want to look at tits, anime or otherwise, I'll just look at pornography.

As for Senran Kagura specifically, yes I do find it a bit weird that you like it, but that's because I found the gameplay to be incredibly boring.
