In all fairness, I doubt Nintendo has fully departed from the "Game Boy" line, at least last time I checked. Their original plan was to have the DS become the "third pillar" of Nintendo hardware, but I think it should simply stick with the two. The concept of portability kinda goes out the window when you're forced to have more than one, and even though Nintendo still supports the GBA, it's clear that they're itching to drop it in favor of the DS. One portable per company per generation, please.
If Nintendo does drop the "Game Boy" name, however, it would be an admittedly courageous move, to be most likely contrasted with Sony's refusal to ever surrender the name "PlayStation."
And I think it's safe to say that everyone remembers Battletoads. -sj
