Richard Bartle"So, it's the year 2000, at the height of the dot com boom. You've just been hired as Head of Online Games for a company with a paper value of over a billion dollars. ... What do you do?" Richard Bartle discusses the development processes of his unreleased sexual-fantasy MUD.

What about the romance system in Fable? I found I spent more time pursuing relationships in every community before I even knew it could lead to rewards. The system is worked into the main plot as well, as the player has a chance to seduce the Mayor.

That failed on-line game sounds *great*... too bad it never came to fruition...

Maybe someone else will read the article and throw it up again...

I'm surprised that the game depicted in the article never came to be. Correctly marketed, it ought to be a modest success. Very interesting design issues.

You can write about antics that you would be jailed for depicting visually. The word is pornography, not pornotexty.

graph means to write. Not to show, not to draw, to write. Pornography means to write about prostitutes.

While I understand you were trying to make a point about a legal distinction, there is little contrast between the true meanings of graph and text.
