I've been away for a while, can y'all bring me up to speed?

Why was there such an outcry about his Expendables review? I think both it and Scott Pilgrim vs the World sucks.
Surely you realize by now that your movie preferences don't exactly line up with all, or even most, viewers?

Do I have to tell you what movies I like?

I am a sucker of crime movies.

The Godfather, Carlito's War, Scarface, Goodfellas, Casino, Reservoir Dogs, Pulp Fiction, etc.

I love Fantasy like Lord of the Rings, Conan the Barbarian, the first Narnia movie, and Harry Potter, but prefer the first 2 movies the most.

Robocop is my favorite Sci-Fi though I appreciate others like Predator.

Watchmen I still like, but only the Ultimate Cut. I used to like V for Vendetta alot, but the Comic is better mostly because V himself was better in the comic.

Yeah I realized I overreacted. I interpreted your post as a snide remark against me because I assume you liked Scott Pilgrim and I said it sucked.

I apoligize.

That Weekly Content Schedule is straight up depressing, and reading that Garwulf's Corner articles it looks like he's got one or two articles left before his contract runs out too... I love Yahtzee but I'm really hoping the schedule won't just be him and twitch streams.

They were utterly toxic and cultivated massive, rabid, shit-posting fuckface fans. Half of the drama of the sight back in the day was people raging and shitposting about Jim Sterling.
To be honest that says more about the site's toxicity than it does about Jim Sterling, who seems to be having a perfectly good career on Patreon and Youtube.

I like Jim Sterling, but to be fair, he does do a bit of baiting, antagonizing a certain portion of the gaming community intentionally. His saving grace is that he's typically baiting over things that he legitimately cares about and believes - He's not doing it just to be an ass (As far as I can tell, anyway).

Waiting for the day I bring up the site only to see a 'Cannot be found' address feedback.

It's tragic but that's how it feels. Last gasps of breath puffing out, only for a quick injection of life support from Yahtzee on Wednesday.

Oh I totally agree, his presentation is impassioned and can be pretty abrasive, he also does deliberately run a few windups as well like triple aaaaa gaaaames. However, in his defence mostly he lays into companies and developers rather than individual gamers and when he does it tends to be either from a consumer advocacy standpoint or because someone's done something pretty crummy.

Still, at the end of the day the Escapist forums were notorious both here and on other sites for being passive aggressive and rude. There was always the option of just disagreeing with the video and not getting het up over it, but instead there were massive rabid arguments over what the sunglasses man said in his video. I never even got the issue with Bob despite vastly preferring his older more nuanced videos and his latest reviews, I mean I disagreed with half his reviews but I'm not going to bother trashing him too much.
