I've made myself a Death Note, now what should I write in it?

Over the course of yesterday, in between watching the two Death Note films while waiting bits of paint to dry, I transformed my normal notepad into a Death Note. Now, unfortunately (or fortunately, depending how you look at it), it doesn't work. Well, okay, I haven't actually tried using it yet but I fail to see how a couple coats of black and white paint can turn a £3.50 notepad bought from the newsagent I do paper rounds for into a fully-functioning Death Note.

Anyway, the point of this thread. I'm bored and I feel like continuing only using the notebook for homework would be a bit of a waste so I will write whatever is posted in this thread as a request in the notebook, unless I decide it to be godawful or something I simply don't want to write for whatever reason. Just use your imagination and pretend it's a real Death Note, lawl.

EDIT: Photographic evidence will be provided.

EDIT: Here's a picture of the notebook:

Your Deathnote turned out very nicely!

What to write in it though...how about your own cause of Death? Hear me out, you see Light could have done this in the very beginning but didn't. If he had, he could have drastically changed the way Deathnote played out. Imagine if he had written say, "Light Yagami dies peacefully at the age of 150 within a mausoleum constructed in his honor by his worshipers" or some such thing.

What you should write should be something similar. Give yourself a nice peaceful death taking place in a century or so. Imagine how uplifting it would be if it were true! You could do all sorts of things carefree if you knew when you were going to die and, how. You could book flights everywhere without fear. You could take up extreme sports like cliff diving and, base jumping. You could go all-out Addams and take up knife juggling!

It still has to be within the realm of possibility given the circumstances at the time specified, if you wrote something that required the complete directing of all events leading up to it in order to take place, it would be useless.

Thanks, and that would be pretty awesome, except one of the rules of the notebook is that you can only control the person's death to up to 23 days.

In fact, that's how L beats Light in the live action film. He writes his own name in the Death Note for 23 days later because the first time the person's name is written stops any other times the person's name is written from taking effect, so he actually manages to avoid getting killed by Rem and tricks Light into thinking he's dead. That's probably the only area the film is a bit better than the animé, since it didn't feel quite right having someone who wasn't L defeat Light.

I completely forgot about the 23 day part...I don't remember if that was in the manga or not but I remember it from the movies now that you reminded me.

Get red contact lenses and go out as Light Yagami for Halloween. Then you can get lots of chips from houses and... you figure it out.

Here's an idea. Write how you will die, so then anything that happens to you will have to let you live until what your wrote happens.

It's nice looking. Just be careful about it.

If you write the names of other people (you seem to be a student) and your teachers or other authority figures find it, you can get in a lot of trouble. I believe there were cases in Japan where a student had a Death Note and wrote the names of those who bullied him in it. It resulted in suspension, or maybe expulsion.

Also anyone who finds it probably won't get the anime reference, so they'll assume you're making a list of people to kill.

Man I am kind of a buzzkill, huh.
