The Taliban are still in MoH, in every way other than name. It's such a subtle change that I can't quite get my head around why anyone thinks that the situation is different at all. They're probably the same people who think "fuck" is an unacceptable word to print in a newspaper, but "f**k" is fine. "F**k" means "fuck", just as much as "fuck" means "fuck"...

The attention that these media whores have brought to this non-issue has only served to implant the word "Taliban" into everyones minds. "Opposing force" means "Taliban" in the minds of everyone who will play the game.

If I had ruined my career fighting a fight that most people didn't want to be fought, I would probably claim dillusional little victories too.

Taliban renaming to the typical OpFor had more to do with the US Army threatening to withdraw support for the game due to the controvery.

I like how he also claimed "victory as usual". Even if some machina of twisted logic could attribute this victory to him, even in part, it would be the first victory he has accomplsihed in relation to video games ever.
