I'm tempted to get one as soon as they give them better batteries. $4200 is half the price of a working car in these parts.

Why'd they have to name it 'Hal'?

Seriously though, wave of the future (hopefully).

For anybody wondering about "Cyberdine" and "HAL"...they picked those names totally on purpose. One of my friends in robotics interviewed for a job there, and he told me about meeting the president of the company and the guy telling him about the names. I about died laughing when he told me about the company.

This is just the start, if they can offer them at such a cheap price now when its just starting out think of what it will be like in 10 or 20 years. They might become incredibly cheap and widely available. They could even replace cars I'd imagine if the technology advances enough. Also no more being a bedridden cripple when your old, just jump around in a robot suit.

One can only hope. I think that tech like this has loads of potential, and I can't wait to see where it goes.

Ohhhh dear.

To be honest, a suit like that would be awesome, let's just hope terorists won't get a hand on that baby, 'cause if they do we'd be pretty much fucked...
for 5 hours...

It's more than enough they need to fuck everything up.
