Hello friends,

So new star wars game released and it receive positive reviews from gamers and critics alike so it turn out a really good game and respawn deliver. even under EA.

then I see previous star wars games. we all know how DICE battlefront are.

Dark force 2 was good for its time but now its not age well, Jedi outcast just suck even when it was released, so was republic commando which was poor Halo game. I realized that star wars donot work in FPS simply the guns in star wars universe just suck. it feel like some toy laser gun sounding pew pew.

KOTOR was popular but it was boring RPG. so that make Jedi fallen order remain only good star wars game.

while jedi fallen order is not masterpeice by any mean but its really good game imo.

although i didnot liked unskipabble cutscene but really like how combat is not copy and paste of batman and AC instead its challenging.

respawn did excellent job with this. easily the best star wars game ever made.

so my friends, do you think Its best star wars game yet?

lets discuss

Huh. That managed to be even more incoherent than usual.

Um, sure. Okay. You list only a handful of Star Wars games and that makes Fallen Order the only good one remaining?

Anyway, at the very least, I can nominate Rogue Squadron and Battlefront (the original) as good Star Wars games, so, no. However good Fallen Order may be, there's certainly been good Star Wars games before it.

I played it and it sucked. it feel like a poor Halo with squad mechanics.

guns in star wars just suck. its just feel like some laser pew pew pew i had seen in my childhood cartoons.

You know, as much as I loved Force Unleashed, I always thought all I had to do was to mash attack buttons to win. All I wanted was a star wars game with strategic saber combat. For all these years, Jedi Outcast and Academy were the only games in the series to achieve that.

I think that's why I love JFO so much; At first, I hated the idea of Sekiro-like combat, where you are parrying just at the right time to to reduce enemy's stamina. But the fact that the timing is more generous in this game, and it almost guarantees insta-kill for the first time doing it, made the parrying so much fun.

I am little disappointed with the force abilities, though. Here's the comparison between Academy and JFO:

Academy
Force push, pull, speed, choke, lightning, sense, absorb, heal, mind trick, saber throw, jump, protection, and rage

JFO
Force push, pull, slow/stun, jump

I guess it will be a little hard to incorporate all those abilities to JFO's combat style, but more variations would've been nice.

Whatever, just wash your hands.
You are so limited. Not even any mention of X-wing or Tie Fighter.

I bet that you didn't even play any of the other games that you mentioned. Not saying that Fallen Order is bad. I'm yet to play it but it looks like a good game. But bashing KOTOR and Jedi Knight games is just dumb.

The squad mechanics is what makes it awesome bro. I want my shooters to have tactical depth.

Right?

Seriously- it's bizarre enough that he forgot about the OG Battlefronts and the first two Rogue Squadrons...

But TIE Fighter, man.

One does not disrespect the King.

Fallen Order has saber throw, by the by. Its in the skill tree as an unlockable.

The Force did feel a little underwhelming though. EVen within the framework they had, if you could Surge-esque target specific limbs or weapons with you force powers to disarm/trip/spin enemies around for tactical openings it could've been a good spot for some depth to them. Alongside most enemies of any merit being largely immune to them (which tbf happened in DF/Outcast/Academy as well).

Or even having more environmental stuff to throw at enemies, which really only comes up occasionally in fairly gimmicky fashion (Malicos' rocks for instance).

From what I've seen, all it does is copy mechanics from dark souls, uncharted, and metroid. It was a safe game to not piss off people and it mostly worked, except that it has a lot of bugs and glitches.
